Re: Ex DLK players in UK & elsewhere
Flores returned to the Hull City squad for only the second time since he signed from Dundalk in the easy 3-0. Victory over Northampton Town to put them 3 points clear at the top of League 1 tonight. He got on as a sub in the 88th min as he tries to gain match fitness. The manager said on BBC Radio Humberside that he was pleased for Flores as he has worked hard on his fitness since joining with some niggly injuries and that he will be like a new signing for the run in.

I see Aaron McCarey won Cliftonvilles player of the month for March....I wouldn't have had him down as successor to Gary Rogers but given what we have signed since...

'Player of the month' at a semi-professional club that is 5th in the Norths Premier... I'd say he found his standard....dundalkfc1903 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 10:33 am I see Aaron McCarey won Cliftonvilles player of the month for March....I wouldn't have had him down as successor to Gary Rogers but given what we have signed since...

Cherrie was released by the same club, 6 years ago, and looks like he's our best option right now.superman wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 11:29 am'Player of the month' at a semi-professional club that is 5th in the Norths Premier... I thought he played really well in the game against Cobh last year.
He was given some abuse on here though every time he got a game.

Re: Ex DLK players in UK & elsewhere
The play goes through him with Derry, probaly suits him. He played well against Shamrock Rovers too. Patching had a lot more competition with Dundalk.
He seemed like a player with talent at Dundalk, but seemed like he was just going to rely talent, and not work hard and be more demanding.
Maybe he got a wake up call being sent out on loan to Derry, that he wouldn't have a stoll in the LOI.

Even in the games he was introduced in, he looked like was going through the motions. He didn't need to start 20 games to see if effort was there, coming on as a sub he should have been hungry to impress.
His departure from Notts County was a bit similar https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/fo ... wn-3215896
but maybe he'll kick on now and have a good career.

I think the loan was only to July so would be fantastic if we were getting a form player back that could slot straight into the team.
