Good man Daryl.... Horgan in the Europa League against AZ away and Maccabi home (in particular) showed that he can be a serious player at that level. Hope it works out for him at Hibs

Daryl Horgan scores outstanding injury time winner for Hibs in league cup. Anyone with a video?

Delighted for Horgs but I wish other LOI teams defended like that against us!

That's a smashing goal and a brilliant way to start your time with a new club.

He will tear it up over there. Delighted for him. Got such a raw deal at Preston.

I'm sure the defence was petrified of him, like in LOI and in Europa league. He had that effect. We have nobody at Oriel of that calibre at the moment. Michael Duffy shows flashes but doesn't make defences s**t themselves the way Daryl did.

Although he has not played for the club, local Blackrock lad, James Dunne, will have a host of well-wishers here.

He seems to be well regarded at Burnley too. After scoring the winner in a friendly in Cork, he has signed a new contract at Burnley and now has completed a loan move to Hearts

Great to see Daryl had a hand in the equaliser against Aberdeen yesterday. Not an assist, but threw the body on the line to set up the assist. McMillan had a good run yesterday with 78 minutes.

Any chance Andy Boyle could return next season? Completely fallen off the radar in England. Not that our defence requires much improvement, but Garts is getting on a bit and Folan will likely be tipping on. Plus, he is just pure class at LOI level.

His contract runs to summer of 2019 when he becomes a free agent. If he does not get picked up on an attractive contract by another club in the UK, he will be on Stephen Kenny's radar. With players of the exceptional quality of Andy Boyle, it would be an opportunity too important to pass up if we have serious ambitions for European group stages again

Carl McHugh who played on loan under Foster, scored a cracking goal today for Motherwell in their 3-3 draw v Rangers.

Noticed also that Michael O’Connor got a late equaliser for Linfield v Cliftonville. The game over shadowed by the strange pre match antics of Roy Carroll.

Big Roy on the sauce again.

If he doesn't get a sanction by the IFA or even UEFA (it should be brought to their attention) for not participating in a fair play hand shake, then it solidifies the rising spirit of hate and antagonism that is rearing its head on this island with Brexit round the corner. This stuff should not be happening, no matter what your personal views. He's an idiot and a sh**e keeper to boot.

Anyway, on the Andy Boyle issue, it's terribly disheartening not to even see him back on loan at a league one side. What a waste of a player.

He needs a better agent.

If I remember correctly Cliftonville got antsy over the playing of the National Anthem at the cup final in May. I respectful decline the opportunity to comment on the rights or wrongs of either side, but if you bring politics into sport, you have to accept the consequences. Some of our supporters did it with flags in the Champions League and the club paid a heavy price.
