It is great, but we're not going to be able to give FIFA/UEFA a squad list of 28....

Boyle left out of the match day 23, however Horgan included and will wear the number 12 jersey.

That's a pity for Andy. Would have done a decent job if called upon. Delighted for Horgan. Just reward for a fantastic few seasons and the least he deserves. A real chance of getting game time depending on the way the match plays out of course. It's real when called up for a competitive match. One part of me wants us to be losing at around 60/70 mins as he will more than likely get a run. Only a small part btw!

O'Neill bottled it at the end, brought on McGeady for the injured McClean rather than the form player.

Disappointed Horgan didn't get a run, but you can see why McGeady was brought on, as much as I hate him, his experience & Darryl's lack of height considering Ireland were defending high balls in meant he really couldn't risk bringing him on! Great performance by the boys in green and hopefully there'll be many more chances for Horgan to come!

Was at the game last night, was hoping he would get a run especially when we were under pressure near the end, in fairness to Mcgeady he did will when he came on and helped take the pressure off, just a pity we're not playing a friendly midweek to give the lads a run out

I believe we're away to Brentford in the week

What's that got to do with the lads getting a run out for Ireland?
In Kenny we trust.

Very good point, I read that with Dundalk glasses on rather than actually reading the thread title

Stephen Kenny positive more of his players can make the jump to international football
Former Dundalk stars Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle both made their debuts for Ireland when they came on against Iceland

Ye'd have to wonder what Towell is thinking looking at the 2 lads getting capped so quickly after their move. A lot has to do with the European performances no doubt, but he has to be thinking hard.
