Anyone (oldfogey I'm looking at you) hazard a guess as to whether the game against St Pats on 17th March will go ahead that day or might be brought forward to the Thursday or pushed out to the Saturday?

We play Derry away on the Monday so I'm not sure we would be willing to play Friday-Monday-Thursday.

This could go to Sunday, given that we aren't in Cork until the following Saturday 25th. I think Saturday 18th is unlikely as it's the final round of the 6 nations and we play England in Dublin at 5pm in a potential Grand Slam decider. Paddy's day itself is still attractive as a family day out for a fixture, notwithstanding the need to centre the game between the trips to Derry and Cork.

It could all boil down to convincing Pats (who will have Rovers at home next) that Mon-Sun-Fri is a good option for them.

Sunday might be a good idea for the Pats match, having this on Fri 17th could be messy with the day that's in it. Thursday night given the BH on Fri would have been a good option also had we not being away on the previous Monday.

They might stick with Friday though, but I would be happier to see this moved to the Sunday. That 7pm kick off on a Sunday v Bohs worked well last season, then again it was the chance to win the league.

Probably buried in other news, but interesting to see we have the Presidents Cup at home this season, decent match to kick things off.

EDIT: Scrap that on the Pres Cup, with the new pitch going in, this obviously wont be played at home now, can't see a neutral venue, so it prob will be Turners Cross.

Assuming the Pats game goes ahead as planned on the Friday?
