Brilliant performances from McEleney and Benson tonight. Duffy and Clifford were also excellent.

Some of the touches and passes were exquisite.

Dodgy Sligo team, who are going to struggle

I was hugely impressed with Conor Clifford tonight. He was composed on the ball, aggressive in the tackle, and covered the ground well.

He is a big addition to the squad.

Great to get the points in the bag,Sligo imo will struggle very poor and will be in bottom 3,Limerick and Derry will be a different kettle of fish, great goal from McEleney.

I think Clifford will be a huge player for us. What a signing by SK.

Withnessed a masterclass last night n Sligo by us,played to the conditions passed the ball freely,,Sligo ill admit don't look great but you can only play what's in front of you.Mc elheny and Duffy were brilliant, but I thought Clifford and Benson controlled the middle completely.Kenny used his subs and most got game time, good to see MC millen and Chris shields doing some sprinting with Graham Byrne before and after the game.A Sligo supporter said to me leaving the ground last night that that was the best team he'd seen play there in last 10years,great complement to get ,the support last night was great I'd say around 400 travelled , Limerick next and another tough one but if we play like last night we will win it.mon the town.

Great to get the reports in lads, I had a mate over, similar feedback and also made same specific remark on Clifford.

4-0 is an excellent result and the 4th actually put us back on top on GD, but it sounded like an excellent performance, amazing really given the 5 big players out and one still to make his debut (Hoare).

I heard there was more like 400 over, Sligo fan on foot.ie estimated 300, great support.

Both Mc Eleney & Duffy stood out for me but overall a very comfortable nights work by all in a Dundalk shirt. What struck me most was the options now available to Stephen Kenny, even with more players to come back from injury there is great strength in depth with this Dundalk squad. This will become more evident as we progress through the season particularly in Europe. Last season the team were run into the ground with such a relatively small squad compared to now.

Back to last night, a brilliant free kick goal from MOTM Mc Eleney & Good to see Duffy get his goal. Stewart coming on fought & took his goal very well. The Gartland/ Barrett partnership weren't troubled too often but it looks like an understanding is coming together.

A fantastic away support, I'd agree with the figure of 400. Very good ground & facilities in the Showgrounds, perhaps a model Dundalk FC could adopt going forward...

Mr 'Integrity' Robertson makes some outrageous post match allegations against Brian Gartland (although he did not name him)
I felt it was soft. The first one it’s just a header, a 50-50, they go in shoulder to shoulder, the lad falls over, rolls over like something out of a Hollywood film, The referee produces a yellow card, which is disappointing. I would never ask my players to do that. He’s probably been tricked into it to a degree.
