That's a bit extreme niall considering its only March and the season ends in October. There will be plenty of twists and turns along the way. Last season we lost 5 games I think, 2 of those were to Cork.

Talking to a few boys at the game and they said it was a poor performance from us. Saw the goals in soccer Republic and poor goals conceded by Sava

Derry are title contenders from this weekends results

Johnny if we were to lose to cork that is a 6 point gap.. and if we dropped points to pats it would be 8.. no matter what stage of the season that is a massive gap to try and claw back. having said that rovers could beat cork sat and we beat pats and it is all square again.

If ands and but whatever happens prior to the Cork game there would be still 27 games left with 81 points up for grabs. There will be plenty of twists and turns along the way. Far too early to start hitting the panic buttons

There are obviously some issues that should be addressed by injured players returning, in particular Rogers, O Donnell/Shields and Mc Milan. We need to bounce back next week to be in the right shape for Cork.

Despite starting well, moving the ball around nicely & going ahead, we never pushed on to kill the game. Instead we let Derry into the game & as the game went on it ended up a poor performance indeed. Our midfield with Benson playing poorly two games in a row is disappointing, he's a player I expected to be key for us but so far this is not the case. Yes it's early days but we can't expect Mc Eleney to be left to do all the work in midfield. Sava's bloopers were shocking, Derry's third goal in particular, he was always going to be under pressure with Rogers waiting to come back & any mistake would be fatal for him, but two blunders, there's no excuse. Duffy & Gartland never got going either with Gannon, Massey & Mc Eleney the only three who stood out in a Dundalk shirt.

All's not lost by any means but we must go again come Saturday & beyond that I feel a statement needs to be made with a winning performance in Turners Cross.

Not great again, but we're going along pretty well considering the key players lost and just as importantly the key players out injured. If we can beat a very poor Pats and draw in Cork we'll be no more than 3 pts off Cork after six games, which would be a very good position. Once we get Cork out of the way we've a nice run for the rest of the first series with Drogheda, Harps, Bray, Galway and Bohs before we're back to the start.

Just saw the goals on MNS and they were absolutely brutal goals to give away, all three were clearly preventable. We look so dodgy at the back without Boyle.

We look even dodgier at the back with Sava. It seems he makes mistake after mistake anytime he is up against a quality side, examples are Cork away in Pres Cup & last Mon night, even back to the EL game v Zenit. The only one I can recall where he did well in a big game was at home to Cork last Oct. For that match, he was well protected.

It's just the one area that we have been weak in, so hopefully Rogers will be fit to get straight back into it, and give us some steel & settle things down in the back line.

Sava is fine for smaller cup games and in cases where Rogers is short term injured, he is not good enough in my book to start most league games and he will cost us points. We know Rogers made mistakes in the final 3rd of the season last time but to be fair he came back strong. Let's hope he continues where he left off.
