Section for true fans ?

Section for true fans ?
Just an idea , but could we have a section on this site for serious dundalk fans willing to use their real identities on just dundalk topics ?
I Know i may talk shite at times but in the last while there is a lot of ppl joining under new usernames to push across their own opinions . Any thoughts on this lads and lassies ? I feel that serious discussions could lead to ideas to benefit the club .
And make it a private section .

Joining this forum should be suspended or the private section set up, laughing stock tbh.

Good idea Dunny. As there is no proper ownership set up yet, this could be done with name and membership number or name and season ticket number

Re: Section for true fans ?
I think that yes there has been too much rumour hearsay and dirty washing being aired this past week or so. However this section for "True fans" won't work. There are fans that don't have season tickets and or member of the trust etc. They are still "true fans" but why should they be excluded. At the end of the day I don't hide behind a user name. I use my name (and have been outted in the normal every day life for who I am on here). But I understand entirely why people hide behind usernames.

Well all these true fans would at least know a season ticket holder or member of the trust who would vouch for them?

That doesn't make sense. It would only make a mockery of the section.

Not really. It's only a stop gap solution until if/when there is a members club and I sure something can be sorted on the main DFC website.
I can imagine there are too many season ticket holders, trust members are going to vouch for a non supporter or journalist

Re: Section for true fans ?
Rather than having a Patron Only section (just over 100 members) or even a season holder section, why not charge a fiver or €10 a year to join that perticular section with all proceeds going to the club/trust? It cant be said that "true" fans are only patrons/season ticket holders.

Re: Section for true fans ?
ridiculous suggestion.
anytime any issue appears on orielweb the snobbery of the old guard questioning of new joiners and peoples alias.
who really gives a pillowcase who is who on the message board and folk who take public forums like this as gospel are really deluded.

So you dont take Ciaran Bonds posts as truth or Colm Crossons posts for what they are? Or DFCTrust posts?
Posts on club issues should be for DFC fans ONLY. end of
Why do you think the likes of bohs and shams have members forums? Pats have a patrons forum.
Our business, not other clubs.

Dunny in all fairness posts by CB and CC have been printed so are in public knowledge and domain. so should only dundalk fans be allowed to read the demo.
if the other clubs have a members forum then thats there issue but imo people want to create a cosy cartel were if anyone goes against the grain they are quickly accused of not being supporters.
it appears that some folk think dundalk fans are equal but some are more equal than others
