He is opposition analyst. We would not be used to seeing an OA on the bench as O'Donnell - or Higgins - would have been away watching a game on a Friday. Nowadays nobody travels, it's all reviewed online.

FAI launches a witch hunt after a member of the backroom staff complained about the showing of an inspirational video to the players before the England game.

In other - and apparently unconnected - news Dundalk goalkeeping coach Steve Williams was called up to support Stephen Kenny's squad after Alan Kelly decided to stay in England post Wembley, citing Covid 19 concerns.

No-one has yet admitted responsibility for leaking the story about the "video" to the English tabloids.

There was talk from James Rogers last week of Steve returning. Seemed to come out of the blue so I assumed it had some substance. Very hard to tell when no-one knows the circumstances of his departure in the first place.

Dean Kiely replaced Kelly as goal keeping coach. Nobody replaced Duff yet.
Serbia who they play in March still without a manager,after sacking the previous manager in November. Savo Milosevic being linked but not finalised.

Jack Byrne out for 3 months, back operation.

There is very few Irish players standing out currently.
