I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the business. But I was in the top one.

I am not sure if it is justice Niall. to be honest in the semi the ref fucked up. it wasn't that he was duped by a drogs player or anything.

no team should have to endure crap officiating and hopefully the quality of refereeing can improving as this is the showcase game of our league

The injustice of it all :-) If we'd written the script would we have had it any differently? I sickener for them and well deserved. They only beat Finn Harps because of a crazy sending off and we all know what happened in the semi...!! Also great to see that the FAI got the crowd it deserved because a club was there that should have been nowhere near the final..

Terrible support. Their players played well. Sligo's quality told in the end.

Just on the Drog forum and it's great reading the comments about the ref. If they had a good ref at all their FAI Cup matches this season they would even have been in the semi-final never mind the final. Justice was done.

Definitely pleased Sligo won, deserved it too. I don't blame drogs one bit for our semi final. It was all ruined by the ref, we were actually just coming into our stride before the sendings off, but that's just the way it goes in football.

Everyone knows they did not deserve to reach the final though, and the shocking crowd they brought added to the disgraceful treatment Cooke got, well I have no sympathy.

LMFM reported not one club official spoke to him in weeks & again today. What kind of a football club are they ??

Seen elsewhere that there is no requirement in the rules for a Ref to blow his whistle for a free to be taken. It would be bad form if he told the players to wait for a whistle and didn't blow it. But nobody is claiming that happened.

If the last line is true, then they deserve absolutely nothing---Cooke has brought them to 4 finals in the last two seasons and 2nd in last years League is a super achievement......who is in charge at Drogheda off the field???
