Yes, there are other things to discuss apart from Dundalk F.C. and feel free to discuss them here!

Trevor Croly

Watching Soccer Republic: Trevor Crolly made the statement "we don't provide houses, we don't provide cars" and nobody on the panel followed up on this. What does he mean? What club provides such things?
He also stated that Shamrock Rovers had the fourth highest budget in the league. Can anybody tell me who has the highest budget, who has the second highest etc....?

I believe that when Gerry Matthews owned Dundalk he provided some players with accommodation.

Was Ian Fosters rent not paid as part of his contract?

We could speculate here 'til the cows come home about what budget clubs are operating on but I'd guess that us,Sligo,Shams,Pats and Lims are near enough equal on spending with Derry just behind.Roddy knows of course, its just a pity he keeps all that kind of information to himself........ ;)

Budgets are a load of shite. The key is which club is getting the best value for their money. You can argue Cork with being in a lofty position and their surge in attendances. Given the players that we have I think we are excellent value for what 10 to 12k. Look at rovers position, the players they have their squad, it would be a reasonable estimation that their budget is higher than ours.
