Derry City have appointed former Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels as first team coach.
The Magherafelt native has also previously been in charge of Greenock Morton in Scotland, BEC Tero Sasana in Thailand, and Coleraine and Ballymena in the Irish League.
Shiels, 59, takes over from caretaker manager Paul Hegarty, who took charge after Peter Hutton was sacked in September.
Hegarty had turned down the full-time manager job due to personal reasons.

Cracking headline Grayzer!! Although I believe Derry did intend to approach our man with a massive package and promise of investment in the squad. Not sure if they did tho.
Strange appointment by Derry. With his son still on the books at Sevco, things could turn sour with the support very quickly.
