Another big challenge - if we can get all 3 points it will leave us in a very strong position going into the break and ahead of the home meeting with Cork City.
It was a cracking match the last time we were in the Brandywell and likely to be another spectacle of football between two teams who like to play attacking football

What's parking like up there? I seem to remember some windows being broken in buses/cars recently??

The problem was with buses being stoned post match, with the allegation being that this was by local jobs unconnected with the match.rummy wrote:What's parking like up there? I seem to remember some windows being broken in buses/cars recently??
The absense of policing outside Brandywell still exists so this could well reoccur, but the local fans could not be more welcoming. Car parking at youth club bedside the ground is a good bet if arriving early.(just before the ground)
I will drive up without much concern

Dundalk will be without the injured Stephen O’Donnell (broken leg) and John Mountney (medial knee) while Karolis Chvedukas is doubtful with an ankle injury. Chris Shields returns from suspension having missed last week’s win over Limerick.

Interesting opinion piece and analysis of Kenny Shiels and Derry City tactics by Alan O'Brien of TacticsTruck

MORE:OPINION: Shiels obsession with winning the right way will lose him his job
Alan O’Brien
For Derry City, grabbing three points from Bohemians is almost customary at this stage. With ten defeats out of ten since Kenny Shiels assumed the Brandywell helm, the Gypsies are the Generals to Derry’s Globetrotters. One could be forgiven, then, for seeing the Candystripes’ victory at Dalymount Park, last Friday evening, as somewhat routine.
But, of course, it was anything but. One point on the road, let alone three, should have been manna from heaven for a manager who lost five of his prior six games. Instead, Shiels’ mood — bizarrely — seemed as foul as ever.
Philosophy
Not satisfied with a pressure-lifting win, the Magherafelt native disowned the manner in which it was secured. In tossing their manager’s “philosophy” out the window, instead flipping to an “ultra-cautious” and “agricultural” mindset, Derry’s players committed a mortal sin — they crossed the boss.
“We didn’t play much football in the second-half,” moaned Shiels, on RTÉ’s Soccer Republic. “There’s a way of winning and you have to win the right way.”
Bewilderment at that last line quickly gave way to understanding. In one sentence, Shiels told us everything we need to know about his moribund Derry reign. He is, in fact, telling us why the Candystripes have lost seven games on the road this year.

Derry City have injury doubts over Jamie McDonagh and Gavin Peers for the visit of Dundalk tomorrow. Nicky Low is suspended

Nicky Low suspended might be significant. He has been working well with McEneff in the middle. I still think this will be a tricky game. Expecting a win but we need to be fully focused. 3 points is essential as Cork should beat Bohs at home, quite comfortably you would expect.

What a win lads.
I posted about six weeks ago that I’d be very happy to be in touching distance with cork come the break. We had rovers away and Derry away twice while that had an easy set of away games and all the big guns at home. They were a shoo in to win all their games . I really thought a gap would open but the team have been fantastic. We are now in a great position for the next round of games.
Just watching it on scorlive, our fitness looked top notch with the full time set up really showing now.

Sub's were Gannon, Adorjan and Murray. All of them could have been introduced earlier thoughSneachta wrote:With a facile win and only using two subs? Why?
