On possible targets for 2019, interesting to note that 21 year old Fuad Sule has joined Larne on loan to January from Conference League side Barnet. It's a great opportunity for him to get match sharp and for interested clubs to check out his form and peruse any interest

Should we put in the year of contract expiry beside everybody if we know it?

That's the idea.

If you post what you know (are certain of) I will update the initial post for ease of access.

Links to where the info came from would also be helpful to avoid incorrect information being posted in error.

Good work on this Ezeikial. I think it would be interesting to see the full list and dates of contract length.

Gannon is an easy one. Out of contract end of 2020. I think Hoare extended to 2020 also during the summer as did McGrath to 2019, Chevedukas is 2019 and possibly on record for least appearances on year one for any recent DFC player. Murray is end of 2018. (Benson also but noted above)

I’m almost certain all above is correct and via DFC.com

McEleney is on 3 year or possibly 3.5

I think Kelly is on 2.5

Incomings. I’d be having McEnuff. A right full to challenge Gannon (Who is available) Id also be interested in Cork’s two best players in my view. Sadlier and Morrissey. The latter would hardly up sticks and move, but the former might ?

Duffy situation etc and depending on what Chevedukas availability. Another central MF man. I’m getting greedy now. Possibly even a right sided player. Plus a central defender. I’m not sure on Folans contract though.

If we want to dominate this league and improve in Europe. We need to be getting better every year. Plus we need to be ready for any player leaving and Duffy unfortunately might be one, Benson is another. He’s had a mixed season but he does lend a good balance to the MF. Should be doing much better mind.

There are 27 names up there. Adam Finnegan is there twice and Sava is missing. Sam Byrne is definitely end 2019.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, having more than an 18 man senior squad is a waste of time and money for us. And we don't need three senior keepers. I entirely agree about, for example, another right back to challenge Gannon. But Kenny doesn't rotate, and what good right back is going to kick his heels on the bench for a year?

Therefore I'd be looking to trim the squad and improve only by replacement. Some continuity would be good for us. Keeping the squad together with a couple of shrewd additions and trimmings would be preferable to trying to rip it up and bringing in 4 or 5 new faces into the first 11.

We often hear how we don't see a player's full potential with us until their second season - so I'm expecting more from Murray, Jarvis and Cleary and also Byrne when he gets back from loan. It sometimes looks like we're whinging on here - but we're very close to having a team that will stomp all over the League of Ireland. What we're missing is sometimes glaring, but the right signing would fix it.

At this point ahead of 2019 I would say our core squad is the 1 - 19 listed, with Jarvis, Cleary and Kelly instead of Folan, Poynton and Chvedukas.

Skip's days are numbered but I'd keep him as a player-coach. McEneff absolutely would be my number 1 choice for midfield. It's wonderful being able to tie good players down to longer contracts. But Chvedukas shows the downside of that. I doubt he'll start more than a dozen League matches in his two seasons. I'd love to cut him loose now and get in another midfielder. So my preferred midfield would be two from McEneff, Shields, AN Other.

I'd like Benson to stay, but not in his current pivotal role in the midfield two and not as a 40 game a season guy. I'd have him as an option on the right in a 4-3-3, or filling in on the right of the 3 in the 4-2-3-1.

I hope Duffy stays, but I doubt he will. If we lose Duffy, get Sadlier, otherwise I'd only go for Sadlier if we were letting Connolly or Murray go.

Thanks for that - I have amended these errors and update Sam Byrne. I'll get to the rest of it asap

I'm almost sure Murray is on a one year contract, nothing stopping this being extended though. I also wouldnt rule out O'Donnell having another top level season in him, hes not that old at 32, could still play a decent part next season.

I also have a feeling Duffy might sign a one year deal, but any offer from even a mid size club across the water would unerstandably tempt most players wages wise. Another year here might just suit him better, football wise. Probably optimistic he will stay but you never know.

Had this worked out a while back and came up last week while talking to friends. Had trawled through all official club statements/interviews etc to get the info. Note mentioning I can't remember finding exact contract lengths for Jarvis and Folan.
We also have 12 signed up for next season alone and 4 for the following year, not many LOI clubs have that. McEleney is also on the longest contact in the league. Of the 12 signed for next year 7 started vs Limerick, 7 with a few changes started vs rovers so 9 of our most regular starting XI's are here for certain next season. Great start.

Listening to the Extratime.ie podcast, there's an interview with Gary Rogers who has all but confirmed he will be here next year. Conversations with the manager have happened its agreed in principle and paperwork will follow in the very near future.

Hopefully a few more to follow.

Brilliant stuff

Can anyone confirm the situation with Jarvis and Folan?

I will update these as soon as I get a chance

Jarvis and Folan signed on two year deals last November per the Democrat.

I have adjusted Jarvis and Folan to 2019 on the basis of the Democrat article being the suggested source.

As there is a conflict of suggested dates, if anyone can find and post a link on this it would be helpful
