Europa League draw to come in the next few minutes. Our grouping is horrible, we'll play one of these
Sarajevo (BIH)*
6 Partizani (ALB) / Sheriff Tiraspol (MDA)
7 Slovan Bratislava (SVK) / Feronikeli (KOS)
8 FC Santa Coloma (AND) / Astana (KAZ)
9 Shkëndija (MKD) / Dudelange (LUX)
A passing interest really. Sure will be heading to Cyprus or Montenegro!!

Slovan (or Feronikeli) away first. Right in the middle - would have preferred Dudelange/Shkendija or Sarajevo, but great to avoid Astana and Sheriff. Bratislava is pretty accessible too

It's probable that Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia) will beat Feronikeli (Kosovo) in EL QR2. Feronikeli have hardly set the world on fire coming through the preliminary rounds with single goal home wins in the single match ties against Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar (1-0) and then Santa Coloma of Andorra (2-1) before The New Saints of Wales beat them in CL QR1.

Currently direct flights with Ryanair to Bratislava are available for €266 or €284 depending on the day of departure (even cheaper to Vienna with a stopover)

There may be a temptation to book flights before they sky rocket in price - How much to hedge the bet on the cost by backing Dundalk to win over two legs against Qarabag? What are the odds available?

Shamrock rovers were drawn away first in the third round should they progress, that would potentially mean a clash for tallaght for the home leg if we are both in EL 3rd round, once of ties would have to be moved.

I'd say that will be done fairly sharpish if the legs are to be reversed. Mind you, we don't know that the Rovers tie will go ahead the way it came out of the bowl.

Dundalk are 8/5 with PP to qualify. You'd need to be sticking at least €100 to cover the price of your flight alone!!

Odds aren't always about the likelyhood of a result, but the amount of money placed.

Sounds like a few Dundalk fans are already hedging against a win.

While we have a decent chance against Qarabag, it's quite possible that our next destination will be Bratislava.

I've been based in Bratislava for the past 8 years (going to see Slovan v Feronikeli tomorrow night), so if any of you need travel advice, hotels sorted, info, etc... just let me know! Of course I want us to progress but it would be amazing to welcome the LWA to Bratislava, we had good craic here a couple of years ago with the UCD fans.

That makes no sense,if your bet wins then you wouldn’t be going to Bratislava!!! We would be likely going to Cyprus !!!

It makes sense, it's hedging. Book flights to Bratislava now and bet on Dundalk to win. If Dundalk lose you've got cheaper flights to Bratislava, if Dundalk win you've covered the cost of non-refundable flights.
