The salary sport salaries are based on basic weekly wages only. They do not include bonuses and "loyalty" payments etc. Look down the list, do you really think Darron Gibson who was on £60k per week at Everton is playing for that. Richie would be on nearer £10k per week all found.Carrick_Road wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:29 pm In regards to towells wages, I'd like to think dundalk wouldn't be far off been able to match what Salford are currently giving him.

Squad seems to be in a pretty good place already. Obviously don’t know much about the new guys but have to assume they have the potential. The low standard the keeper has played at so far would worry me until we see him play ourselves though.
As ever the big thing we’re missing is a creative spark. I’d have us favourites for the title if we can find it.

I didnt claim our budget was €12000 a week. Maybe read my post again before rantingniall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 11:06 pmAre you in the real world? There is no way our budget last season was only 12k a week.tip on wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 10:58 pmAberdeen couldnt come close a few years ago for one of their strikers.Carrick_Road wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:29 pm In regards to towells wages, I'd like to think dundalk wouldn't be far off been able to match what Salford are currently giving him.

Paying the same as Towell receives there would take up over 30% of the full DFC budget.

You said paying the same as towell receives there which alludes to the link about where he is on 3.5k a week would take over 30% of our full dfc budget.tip on wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 7:04 amI didnt claim our budget was €12000 a week. Read my post again. I did not allude to him earning 3,500 a week. I stated that if Dundalk matched his salary it would be 30% of club budget. Budget is easy to find online so 30% of that is much higher than 3,500 per weekniall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 8:33 amYou said paying the same as towell receives there which alludes to the link about where he is on 3.5k a week would take over 30% of our full dfc budget.tip on wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 7:04 amI didnt claim our budget was €12000 a week. Flores joining Hull City apparently. Must have got a taste for the colours when he saw the away shirt.
Best of luck to him. Pity it didn't work out the way it could have. There's an alternative universe where he was comfortably the best player in the league the last two years.

I think he could have done with another season here as goals aside he was only getting close to the player we hoped he'd be towards the end of last year and certainly made the difference when he came on in the cup final. He was average enough for the rest of the two seasons here. Hopefully he continues to improve and will reach his potential as he seems to be a decent lad.Peak11 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 10:07 amFlores joining Hull City apparently. Pats favorites for signing Hery now, surely he's worth a punt for us. Was great in LOI for both Limerick and Waterford.

Overall Flores has proved the pointless nature of signing players with records of previous serious injury. He got himself a nice two year contract, where he was injured or returning from injury for the vast majority of that time. He finally looked like he was getting up to some sort of match fitness and off he trots, which is his perogative of course. We are not a paid rehabilitation centre.

Is the other English lad still with us or what's happening with him? Name escapes me and probably sums up his time with us when its hard to remember him! Didn't even get named in the Europa squad.

Will patching? Not confirmed but I think he is mó longer with us. BTW we had a 3rd English player in Nathan odouwa who also won't be returning next season.

Jordan obviously loves a club with a bit of drama - Wigan, then us, now Hull. Maybe leaving us for someone else's shitshow is a good sign that things are settling down!

Not sure of the shit show you're referring to, but they are currently 2nd in league 1. And he is about 2 hrs from his hometown.

You should read up on it - it's bonkers. 'Second in League 1' sounds ok if you forget how they were a Premier League club four seasons ago and got relegated to League 1 last season after losing 8-0 to Luton Town.niall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:27 pmNot sure of the shit show you're referring to, but they are currently 2nd in league 1. According to the indo and Dan mcdonnell it's between us and rvs for towell but only pre contract as staying with Salford til summer rvs in driving seat as they offering long term contract so clearly not as dumb as you assumed.

All would be forgiven to Big Bad Bill if Richie Towell returns :)niall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 6:50 pmAccording to the indo and Dan mcdonnell it's between us and rvs for towell but only pre contract as staying with Salford til summer rvs in driving seat as they offering long term contract so clearly not as dumb as you assumed.
