Do you know anyone willing to take on our current debts and keep the current wage bill going? Cos i know of no supporters club anywhere that could afford it. If you think things are bad now wait til peak 6 leave and we have the begging buckets out again..

Our keepers have cost us 11 points ts this season, only for that we are 2nd. I know i would even rather top 6 in the premier division over starting fron scratch at the bottom of the first..
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

Why do we have debts and our current wage bill?

Why did we have debts when Gerry Matthews left and many before him?? Why have no privious owners apart from Paul and Andy left the club debt free and not on the brink??? Why did the fans hand things over to Andy and Paul??? Do you genuinely believe Andy and Paul didnt put in a penny and ran the club based on what comes in will be spent??? If so you dont know much about how football in Ireland works.

So no answer then. Just distraction and a strange use of question marks.

This isn’t directed at anyone in particular, but just in case.

The banner “we want our club back” was not a literal demand for the current owners to hand the ownership over to the protesters.

If you genuinely thought that, then I’m a wallet inspector and please have your wallet ready for inspection.

When dealing with adults and making demands, they need to be clear. The banner was anything but that. In business it would have been taken literally. So a little thought in the message would be important if you want to get the message through.

Nope. Didn’t you do a big post about not attacking posters?

Can you explain what the meaning was so?

When I seen it I toom it mean Peak 6 gone and back to how it was before they took over. Is that correct?

I posted this on Twitter after the protest cos I think some of it is a bit naive.

They want things the way they were before Bill. They want the emotional connection back. They want the feeling of belonging back. They want what Stephen Kenny said about winning for the people back.

Hopefully the Supporters Club and SLOs will channel it better

What should I answer, we all know the club have debts with the owners, very different to burdening the club with debts with the tax man, council and so on? All the owners are doing, is ensuring that should the club ever turn a profit that they have reason to take part of it in return for financing the early stages (return on their investment), normal practice if you are not in a socialist state. How much would the club have paid banks on interest for bridging loans to cover the costs?? Would you accept the club paying interest or would you be screaming they are wasting money??
The other option is, the club live within their means ..... what they earn in the LOI and from merchandise, they spend. Where do you think Dundalk FC would today be if that were the case???

As for your statement regarding distraction, the last man who made a statement like that to me was a Sinn Fein TD, he did not want to answer my question to why he never supported Dundalk FC when it came to acknowledging success or to supporting infrastructure projects. I stated facts. Up to Paul and Andy, no owner has ever left Dundalk in a healthy state, even Gerry Matthews who is loved by a section of our support, left the club with huge debts with the council (€300K +). Can you name one owner (group of owners) over the years who has invested more money than Peak6 in the club???

That’s just more distraction.

We had money. More than enough to budget for success for years. If the owners decide to leave now after three years and we’re bust, whose fault is it.
