Cmon the town , getting to the buisness end . I think we have been in 6 finals in the last 6 years . So we would want to make it , a magnificent 7 . I heard Gary Rodgers on radio , saying he had 5 FAI CUP medals , that is incredible. Time to go on a run . If we can bring our second half performance in last game in to the remaining games , we will be flying . It’s gotta be high tempo , & blitz teams , end of story .

I think this is a decent draw, Balybofey grass pitch should be in good state for the game, mid sept, I note they have a home game the week before, but no mid week, weather usually good in sept so this pitch might suit us fine.

Plus could been a lot worse with Bohs, Pats and Waterford all away, we should be embracing this as a very good chance to make semis.

The way the draw worked out, its probably certain that one of Bohs and Pats will make the final ( maybe both !!!), we could even meet either in the semi, but QF is all we need to be looking at for now.

Some haul by Gary, 3 with DFC in 15, 18 and 20, and one with Sligo in 2013, he was on the bench for Drogs win in 2005.

Good positive post , Mike . That’s what we need , positivity , one game at a time & circle the wagons. No doubt we have an abundance of quality , in the side .

2002 - We hammered Rovers in Oriel, beat Bohemians in the final 2-0 and went down. I really hope this is not a repeat but dreamed we hammered Pats in the semi final the night of the Harps match. I hope we hammer Pats and Bohs in the final but...........stay up. Tonight has made me feel it is possible. C'mon da town! Tonight I was a happy Grandpa, the babies got ice creams and my little Minny Me said Dundalk are brilliant after all Pappy!

We beat Pats 2-0 away earlier this year, Kelly back next week, McMillan in 2 weeks, Fats in 3-4, grass pitch, plus we are hitting form, and restrictions lifted 2 days before the game, guys we have abs nothing to fear here.

I`m backing us to win, lets get on it.

Nightmare draw but we are certainly capable of raising it for big games. Hopefully we'll get a fair allocation of tickets, hard to see tickets going beyond STs though

In 2013 we had something in the region of 1400 at at Inchicore. If there are no longer any restrictions, can't see why we shouldn't get the same again. I think Tony mentioned tonight that both games are live on RTE2. Given there is a full series of league fixtures on the following Monday (what moron dreamt that one up), I can't see anything other than 17.45/19.45 split kick offs on Friday evening. Bank holiday traffic too, just to add to the mess.

And that Bank Holiday Monday game? We're away to errrrr....Pat's! Replay - if necessary - will probably be 2nd November in between home games S33 & S34 against Waterford and Longford.

Confirmation that the semi-final will at 19.45 in Inchicore on Friday October 22nd. No mention of away allocation.

Replay - if necessary - on Monday 25th, ko TBC.

I'd imagine/hope as it's a cup game that there is a minimum allocation the club would get. Might not be many left after season tickets though.

I stand to be corrected but I believe thats the date all restrictions are lifted. That being the case, cup game rukles would apply, where the away club is entitled to a substantial allocation. It will interesting to see how RTE manage to broadcast both semifinals, given that they kick off at the same time. RTE Player (given it's problems) or RTE News Channel isn't really an answer.
