Drogheda Utd v Dundalk | League Round 23 | Fri 08 July 2022 ko 19.45
A critical game, and not just for the usual reasons. In addition to reminding our (not distant enough) neighbours about being in our shadow, both on and off the pitch, this is the first of our games in hand. I was concerned about Bradley's withdrawal before kickoff, but O'Kane's cameo at the end shows we have backup on the wing. We ended up with only 6 subs at the start which was odd. Perhaps SOD has decided he can manage with 7 instead of 9. No sign of John Mountney which is a concern.

Drogheda has beaten both us and Rovers in United Park. Very Narrow and short pitch to play on. Drogheda gets a goal, it can be very hard. Have to be right at it from the start.

Very quiet here for derby week. I hope this doesn't indicate a lack of interest/reduced level of attendance.
I noiticed yer man David "whatisface" is being tagged as commentating for LMFM along with Darius. I hope that doesn't mean he is doing LOITV as well. Adriaaaan may take his neutrality a bit too, but he is still the best around for professional commentary.

Ye it's a tight pitch and Drogheda will be well drilled and compact off the ball, they'll make themselves tough to break down. It's definitely a must win if we're going to keep pace with Rovers. Hope Stevie tries to mix it up a bit tonight because Drogheda will be quite happy to put ten men behind the ball and let us play in front of them. Expect it to be a good crowd too think our allocation is sold out as of this morning

No, not a lack of interest in the game. I just feel unfortunately that this site is dying a slow death.

Lots of the younger fans seem to be happier using twitter or FB for updates, I still like this site, but twitter for one is by far the quickest for info.

A lot of fans were driven away by a few peoples behaviour earlier this year.

Have you seen many of our matches or just talking through your hole?TrevDaRev2 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 1:37 pm because Drogheda will be quite happy to put ten men behind the ball
For the club with the 3rd lowest budget in the league and losing our 2 best players a couple of weeks ago, playing a club with one of the biggest budgets in league, I still wouldn’t expect us to play 10 behind the ball tonight. Well hopefully keep it tight for first half hour anyway and go from there

Tough watch from our perspective, goal knocked the stuffing out of us. I think both their fullbacks have yellows so we need to terrorise them down both wings in the second half.

Anysmal. Too many experienced players were shocking tonight. Needs a few bodies in. Bad when young okane was our best player.

😂😂we’ll done on the biggest win in your club’s history. The celebrations were a wee bit embarrassing, but when a little club beats one of the big clubs I suppose it’s allowed 😂Daviddrog wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:49 pmObviously talking through your hole :-)Daviddrog wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 4:53 pmHave you seen many of our matches or just talking through your hole?TrevDaRev2 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 1:37 pm because Drogheda will be quite happy to put ten men behind the ball

100 per cent correct. When a club in any league who have one of the smallest budgets in the league, beat a club with one of the biggest budgets in the league, it’s always enjoyableMidfield11 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 10:29 pm😂😂we’ll done on the biggest win in your club’s history.
