I’m delighted it’s gone well for SK so far but Luxembourg, Bahrain and China are hardly powerhouses and it was 0-0 in their first decent challenge. I don’t think the LOI ignorant Irish football public are as patient and hopeful of Stephen doing well as we are. When Duffy is caught in posession some day and the ball buried they’ll all be out of the woodwork. They weren’t when it was Brian Kerr. On the plus side when he takes over he’ll have as much time as you could hope to have.

Luadable performance against a very good Brazil side. Those young lads looked exhausted at the end!

Imo hes doing an excellent job to date, it was said on here sure they have played nobody yet, Brazil was Ireland u21s first defeat considering that squad is worth 70 million plus and like China and Mexico population wise is into the billions, finishing 3rd on saturday would be great achievement.

What impressed me, especially first half, were the spells keepimg the ball. Like many Irish sides recently though we looked a bit toothless up front.
