Maybe a handy one like Cork at home?

Pathetic from the FAI. It's like Final score from the 1970s.

Presumably will be scheduled for the weekend of Fri 24 Aug - of course we could be involved in the Europa League play-off first leg around then!!

Draw of the round has to be

Inchicore Athletic v Inchicore Athletic.

Took them an absolute age to find a bottle of Tippex and replace it with St Pats as the away team.

Drogheda V Shamrock Rovers
UCD V Pike Rovers
Blarney United V Derry City
Shelbourne V Athlone Town
Newmarket Celtic V Cabinteely
Cockhill Celtic V Limerick
Dundalk V Cobh Ramblers
Bray Wanderers V Finn Harps
Skerries Town V Waterford
Sligo Rovers V Longford Town
Maynooth University Town V Leeds
North End United V Galway
Home Farm V Cork City
Wexford Youths V Bohemians
Inchicore Athletic V St Patricks Athletic
Dublin Bus V CIE Ranch

I'm almost disappointed that we didn't get Longford Town at Oriel, purely to see the reception that Neale Fenn would get on his return.

Could be real busy as we are also involved in the EA Sports Cup semifinal at the start of that week, away to - let me check - Cobh Ramblers.

Nice draw in the cup, but this site is blocked in my work but the official club site isn’t. I had to work out who we had drawn as they had omitted to insert the actual team, it’s still missing* ! I’d worked it out based on ‘will be the second meeting as we are meeting in the EA sports cup semi final.

* to be fair the club were very busy last few days, and what a start to the week it was too with the new signings. Understandable.

I recall he got a very hostile reception when he came to Oriel as a Shams player, before being thumped 5-1 of course. If he was to return as Longford manager, I doubt many would even acknowledge him, given that it's been 8 years and he seemed to fall off the face of the Earth after that season.

He also had a number of rough and late challenges on him in that game.

Michael O'Neill should never have started him, It was done probably to try and throw Dundalk somehow and backfired dramatically. The Shed were quick of the mark with a new song on Tipton and Fenn that night. Wasn't O'Neill banished to the stand also?

Its a decent draw, could have been better or worse but the main thing is that it is at home.
