Although it is still down as date/kick off TBC on both club websites the Limerick twitter account seems to be confirming the normal Friday night kick off at 7:45pm

A 2 week break after the game, but nonetheless I'd be trying out a few things - to avoid injury/suspension and to have an option B if nothing else

Rogers
Gannon-Hoare-Cleary-Massey
Mountney-Jarvis
Murray-McEleney-Connolly
Kelly

I think Hoban and Shields could use the extended rest anyway, but do bookings in FAI Cup matches count towards League suspensions?

Jamie McGrath called into Ireland U21 squad so will miss this match. So probably McEleney will start with Connolly or Mountney on the right.

Congrats to Jamie. It is a big recognition for him. Hopefully he can get some game time in either away game in Kosovo match on Friday or against Germany next Tuesday in Tallaght Stadium. It's a 6pm kick off

I see that Derek Towney is the ref for tomorrow night. He was the ref when we lost away to Waterford. Didn’t give a penalty when Duffy was upended in the box & gave him a yellow card. Anthony Buttimer is the 4th official !

Team news

Stephen O’Donnell continues his recovery from a broken leg and Karolis Chvedukas is ruled out with an ankle problem. Sean Hoare returns from suspension after missing last week following his red card against Shamrock Rovers. Jamie McGrath will not take part due to his involvement with the Ireland under-21’s in their UEFA European Championship qualifiers with Kosovo and Germany.

Yellow card count to play a part in the team selection tonight? Hoban and Shields 1 away from a suspension with Cork up next domestically

UCD are looking a tidy side with being a win away from promotion and looking like they are in the cup semi. They would be a stern test for anyone who draws them. With the risk of suspensions mentioned above and being 3 up a couple of sensible substitutions are in order. Darren Meenan sent off for Longford. Assuming things stay as they are a home draw to the winners of Derry and Bohs would be preferred if you're not wanting Cork at home. They would have good travelling support and would generate enough local interest to have a good crowd too.

Is the appetite there for the 4th consecutive cup final between Dundalk and cork? Would it be better to get them in a home drawn semi final or get to the aviva and worry who you play then? It's gonna be tough in a game against any of those 4 remaining sides, especially away from home. Fancy our chances at home to any of the current 4. And equally away to ucd or Bohs. But derry or cork away would be extremely difficult. And long trips on a Sunday afternoon especially if the late kickoff.

We need have no fear against any of the remaining teams - home or away. But obviously a home draw would be a significant advantage. My preference is for Cork at home, win and meet Derry in the final
