In my opinion McGrath has progressed very little if anything since he joined from Pats, and has zero chance of making it in England a lot better than him have went and failed. Think he will be here next year if not I wouldn’t worry to much about it.
Not sure if I'd agree with that. I think that any time he has had a run of games and starts playing well, he seems to get injured and knocks him back.

I think that's very harsh on McGrath. He's one of the more technically complete players we have. Just need to find a way to make him more central - literally and figuratively.

There is a talent there but we don’t see enough of it, plus he can be knocked of the ball far to easy plus his goals ratio is very poor.. I honestly don’t think he would survive in the lower leagues in England and managers wouldn’t give him the time over there. As I said it’s only my opinion and I could be totally wrong.. but one thing I think everyone will agree on he needs to add goals to his game he should be getting about 12/13 goals a season, anyone know how many he has out of a matter of interest?

10 League goals in 82 appearances. He should get more, I'd agree with that. McEleney's drop off in goal getting is also a bit of a concern.

Yeh yeh Hoobanator!

https://www.dundalkfc.com/patrick-hoban ... extension/

This is fantastic news. He may not have had as good a season as 2018 but he's head and shoulders the best forward in the league, he's liable to the league's top scorer and is in the top 3 or 4 for assists. Whatever about McGrath, Benson and even Gannon I think Hoban was the most important re-signing required.

Interesting comments about Bill Hullsizer. Looks like Burton really is gone, or at least has beet taken out of the contract role he supposedly had.

Is there an extended interview with comments about Bill Hulzier? I just heard Pat say 'thanks Peak 6, Bill and the board'

On form the best in the league, but unlikely to make a impact in Europe. Same could be said for many others though.

Very important to keep him out of the clutches of Rovers. Hopefully with this done and dusted we will see the old Hoban in the remaining games and next season.

Still hoping for a loan signing or two in the attacking third above and beyond the quality currently in the league.

From Gavin McLaughlin
Just after leaving Oriel Park. Vinny Perth was heading to the airport to drop Bill Hulsizer, father of PEAK6 owner Matt, off for his flight back to the USA. Bill was instrumental in Hoban's contract talks over the past few weeks. Job done.
I agree loan signings of players above LOI level are the way to go. But we need to be able to integrate them far more quickly.

The most important of our resignings the best in the league without doubt his record speaks for itself. Regarding people saying he is not good enough in Europe he his miles ahead of a lot of our squad in terms of quality and our big problem is defense shambolic last season and just as bad this season in Europe that is what ultimately cost us in Europe. If we are to sign quality with Europe in mind hopefully it will be defense that is sorted first.

We need a pacey striker too for europe and better service from the wings for our strikers.

Only 2 goals scored in all our European matches this season may also have had something to do with it.

Couldn't agree more. Hoban is fantastic at what he does but we could use a plan B and I don't think Kelly is it

Does this mean that Hoban will no longer hand the armband to the ref, and will give extra waves to fans at full time?
