Dundalk V Sligo Rovers | Fri 19 Oct | 7:45pm | Oriel Park
Last home match of the season
Trophy presentation
The chance to beat Bohs 2008 record of 85 points if we win
The chance for Patrick Hoban to move closer to Brendan Bradley's record of 29 league goals in a season from 1975/76 (It could be a sign that Bradley scored 6 for Finn Harps at home to Sligo Rovers that season )
Another party night guaranteed

Apparently Jamie McGrath has been sent out to buy gum shields for the entire playing staff and management ahead of Friday nights celebrations. I'd say Mrs Massey is none too pleased with the photographs of the proud parents seeing as Dane won't smile.

Apparently McGrath accidentally took out one of Dane"s front teeth. Something to do with a champagne bottle.

Friday night can't come soon enough...............................
........... although the realisation that it will be months before another competitive fixture in Oriel is looming

Just on this, Bradley's 29 goal season isn't the record... Jimmy Turnbull got 37 for Cork FC in 1935-6. Will be mightily impressed if the Hoooobanator can match that!Ezeikial wrote: The chance for Patrick Hoban to move closer to Brendan Bradley's record of 29 league goals in a season from 1975/76 (It could be a sign that Bradley scored 6 for Finn Harps at home to Sligo Rovers that season )

I think this has been posted elsewhere (maybe by you) giving the all time league scoring records.seand wrote:Just on this, Bradley's 29 goal season isn't the record... Make no mistake about it, what Hoban has already achieved is phenomenal and if he surpasses Brendan Bradley's 29 goal record this would be a contemporary record and for most people the most scored in living memory.
If it happens it will be rightly regarded as a record breaking achievement.
G'wan the Hobanator
