Good man EP, was having that exact conversation in Kennedy's last night. We couldn't be sure what the totals were based on differing numbers of teams in the league in different seasons. Clears it up.

We only need a win and a draw from the last three games to match our points total record from last season. 90 points would be a serious total.
Two wins in the last two games would also surpass our 75.0% win rate form 2018 when we won 27 out of 36 league games.

Two wins would give a new win rate of 77.8%, three wins a fabulous 80.6% (Bohs in 2008 achieved a 81.8% win rate)

We can't break Bohs defensive record of 13 goals conceded in 33 games. We can break our own of 13 in 30 from 1979-80 if we don't concede any more goals in the remaining games.

We have broken the club's longest undefeated League run as of Monday.

We can break the points total record of 87 points, set by us last year. We can't beat Bohs' points per game record from 2008 (85 in 33), we'd need 93 from 36 to do that.

Gary Rogers needs two clean sheets from the last three games to overtake Alan O'Neill's club record.
We need to win both remaining games now to beat last year's points total.

Gary now needs two clean sheets in the two matches to beat Alan O'Neill's club record

We can't beat our 1979-80 defensive club record any more.

Our league unbeaten run ends at a club record 24, not far short of the record which is believed to be 30 (Athlone early 80s and Shels or Rovers in the 20s).

A couple of things to round up here.

Most clean sheets in a season
23 Gary Rogers, Dundalk, 2019

23 Alan O'Neill, Dundalk, 90-1
This is a league record, not just a club record

Best unbeaten home record
Dundalk’s unbeaten season at home (played 18, won 16, drew 2, lost 0) was the longest unbeaten home season in LoI history (18 games).
Others have had up to 16 game unbeaten home seasons in the past, including Dundalk 2014. Bohs and Pats were unbeaten away all season in 17 games in 2009 and 97-8 respectively. Dundalk were unbeaten in 16 aways in 2016.
(Slightly irritatingly we probably should be on back-to-back unbeaten home seasons- our only home league defeat last season was due to an extremely dodgy 92nd minute Rovers penalty.)

Most home wins
Dundalk's 16 home league wins is an all time record, and is fukkin insane when you think about it.

Some other bits and bobs...........
Dundalk have five of the six highest points totals ever achieved in the league
Most points in a season
87 2018 Dundalk (36 games)
86 2019 Dundalk (36)
85 2008 Bohemians (33)
80 81-2 Dundalk (30, 4-3-2-1 points system)
78 2015 Dundalk (33)
77 2016 Dundalk (33), 2011 Rovers (36), 2009 Bohemians (36)

Most goals in a season
A relatvively goal-shy (!!) Dundalk 'only' managed 73 goals this season.
85 goals: DUNDALK 2018 (36 games, average 2.36)
78 goals: DUNDALK 2015 (33 games, average 2.36)
77 goals: Rovers 22-3 (22 games, average 3.5)
76 goals: Waterford 37-8 (22 games, average 3.45, runners-up)
74 goals: Bohemians 77-8 (30 games, average 2.47)
73 goals: Bohemians 35-6 (22 games, average 3.32)
73 goals: DUNDALK 2014 (33 games, average 2.21)
73 goals: DUNDALK 2016 (33 games, average 2.21)
73 goals: DUNDALK 2019 (36 games, average 2.03)
73 goals: Sligo 2011 (36 games, average 2.03, runners-up)
72 goals: DUNDALK 2017 (33 games, average 2.18, runners-up)
72 goals: Derry 89-90 (runners-up), Shels 22-3 (runners-up), Bohs 22-3 (third)

Most goals in a season, Premier Division era
This is an amusing Top Five.....
85 DUNDALK 2018
78 DUNDALK 2015
73 DUNDALK 2014 / DUNDALK 2016 / DUNDALK 2019 / Sligo 2011

Dundalk now have thee of the five best end-of-season goal differences.
+65 DUNDALK 2018 (85-20)
+58 Rovers 22-3 (77-19)
+58 Shels 22-3 (72-14)
+55 DUNDALK 2015 (78-23)
+55 DUNDALK 2019 (73-18)

Defensive records
I need to recheck it, but I think this season is only the third time a team has completed a season conceding just 1 goal every 2 games
