> If we are going to go that route and appoint a coach to allow VP to replace SK then somone like Trevor Croly would be a better option than Gill, Mahon, Devlin et al.

Not going to happen ...

Croly has a fulltime day job that he kept going even when he was mgr at Rovers.

That could work as it would mean he wouldn't need to be around and is just manager in title with a minimum salary.

It won't be Jim McGuinness anyway (does he even have a pro licence?)

Vinny Perth says not to waste your money on betting on who the new manager will be.

"Be patient and have trust" says Vinny Perth - " the club is in a very good position"

He is a very impressive speaker and inspires trust and confidence

Yes I have to agree, Vinny came across very well indeed in that interview, made his points very clearly and offered assusrance to supporters.

Although he was obviously not giving anything anyway, and he would have been right not to, I do think he won't be far off getting the top job.

He mentioned being in Dundalk almost every day since SK left, I wonder would he look at re-locating if he got the top role.

Is it that you think VP will be in a short list of people that is considered for the top job, but won't actually get it?

Nope. He will either get it or will retain his current position. I'm thinking it might actually be the former.

Whatever route the club chose he'll be a central part of the mgt team.

Facebook rumour that Paul Clement has been seen knocking around the town :D
Ian Foster: (On the expectations level at Dundalk): "That's why you want to be involved in management. If I don't do well I'll do my shopping in Newry!"

Ian Foster: Last seen heading for Newry.

And to add to the fun, Paddy Power now have him listed, he's entered 'the charts'' at 12/1 and 4th fav.
