Jim Murphy wrote:Anyone remember this story that appeared in several national newspapers on Feb 20 2009:-

Former Bohs midfielder, Stephen O'Donnell, is on the brink of signing for newly promote Dundalk under his former Dalymount boss Sean Connor. Connor brought him from Falkirk to Dalymount where he was a member of the Bohs Double winning squad.

Anyone remember why he ended up with Cork instead of Oriel Park.
Cork City were taken over by Arkaga in 2008 and were in full-on agressive signing mode at the time. SOD was one of those to be burned when the house of cards came tumbling down

Garts is a great clubman and to use a Spurs expression, he is one of our own now, he also had a great playing season last year. I would make Gannon vice Captain for the future because I think he will stay with the club as long as we want him. Great player too. To be fair, they are a team of leaders anyway so wouldn't have any issue with Shields, Massey, Hoare or any of them really. Roll on the Sligo game and good luck Vinny.
