Underage sides have recovered well from a bad start to the season. The U-19s could well finish second behind runaway leaders Bohs, the U-17s are mid table but could finish third with a string of good results, the U15s are top of their League and only the U13s are struggling, but even their results are improving.

A good promotion for tiernan. Tough start with the u13s but brought them on a lot as the season went on. Best of luck to him with this age group.

I'm almost certain I saw him pictured with the u13s training a couple of times. Maybe he was brought in to bolster sessions on a few occasions? but you're right he actually was the manager with the 15s

@faischools U18s defeated 🇦🇺 @SchoolSportAust 2-1 today at @Homefarm_FC

#DundalkFC U19 duo, Andrew Quinn and Mark Hanratty, put in a fantastic display for Ireland, including an assist for the winning goal from Hanratty. Well done, lads

I see the DDSL and NDSL singlehandedly trying to revert Irish underage soccer back to the dark ages. Reminds me of how Louth gaa clubs ignored and continue to ignore the Ógsport Lú approach of the go games. Look how that panned for Louth. I actually despair for sport in this country

U11s go 9 v 9 and u12s go to 11 v 11

So basically they've given a massive FU to the national plan drawn up by Ruud Doekter, which is 7 aside up to 12 I think? Which was to give room for development of loi academy teams.

Basically, a massive cohort of kids will be jumping from 7 aside, to 11 aside and full sized pitches in less than a year. Taking advantage of the disaster that is unfolding in the ranks in the FAI itself.

I don't know who is running football in this country.

The current set up is 7 v 7 for u11 and 9 v 9 for u12. Increasing playing numbers also increases pitch size as you have already pointed out. DFC currently have the best squad in the league. Imagine if we could play 13 aside on a Gaelic pitch. We would be unbeatable.

Some of these clubs might not have u10s so they are already playing kids up. The strong will get stronger and smaller clubs will fold. Good players in what will now become weaker teams will be "encouraged" to move elsewhere.

DDSL don't care about player development it's all about getting players across the water.

LOI clubs need to start taking players on at 7 or 8 and developing them. I may get flak for this but Rovers really are the model for underage development

Listening to Bills plays for what was called the YDC, I think we may soon see that happening. Maybe not directly, but maybe in cooperation with a local club.
