Hopefully Chris Shields will be fit enough to come back in to anchor midfield as we try to get our title challenge back on track

Ronan Murray will be suspended for Sligo following his red card in the 0-2 defeat to Bohs

If we play as well as first game of the season then we will win this easily, we can never not as so many chances again. Would love if Hoban got a penalty to exorcise that ghost. Hard to judge his form on Friday as had little service but very good the previous 2 games. Pity the game not on Saturday as Friday will limit travelling support

Article on Sligo's Dante Leverock, easily the weakest defender to play in a league match in Oriel Park this season

Sligo away and Bohs at home are the kind of games we need to be winning to get back on track. Would be great to have Shields back sooner rather than later

Report today is that McEleney and Shields are back in full training but won't make Sligo. I wonder if they'll risk Shields anyway. I'm repeating myself but I'd rather end the centre-half in midfield patch job as soon as possible.

Team news

We will be without Robbie Benson (broken leg) and Patrick McEleney (broken foot) for this one although Patrick has resumed full training this week. Chris Shields has also resumed full training however tomorrow comes too soon for him

While I would be far from surprised if Chris Shields made an appearance, despite the website report, I would rather that he was not rushed backed before he is ready

Dundalk FC need to ‘come back strong’ in Friday's clash with Sligo
If Dundalk could have hand-picked one away game to have this weekend, it would be Sligo. The Bit O’ Red were atrocious on home turf last term, winning only four of 18 outings. This year, they have continued that, with three defeats in four. Their only victory was an extremely fortunate 1-0 success over UCD, who played them off the park.

Same team as last week or do you want some changes? Is Flores or McKee good enough to start? Should Mountney replace Kelly. Should Georgie start and who should he replace? 3 points please will be listening from home so if you go please update on Twitter if you can

Same 11. Have to say I don’t agree with no changes after a bad performance

Atrocious first half by all accounts. 2-1 down, lucky it’s not four.

Sounds awful. I hope we start to play football on the ground this half
