Temple Street Children’s Hospital

I'm not sure where the original posts on Temple Street Children’s Hospital fundraising are, but it probably deserves a thread of its own.

It's not that its a topic to stimulate a lot of debate, but more that the efforts of fans, players, the club and Fyffes are well worthy of recognition
A group of Dundalk FC players were joined to club sponsor Fyffes on a visit to Temple Street Children’s Hospital yesterday to hand over a cheque for over €7,000 – raised by this season’s joint third-kit initiative.

Sporting the distinctive purple-patterned shirt, Dundalk captain Brian Gartland was joined by Dane Massey, Sean Gannon, Robbie Benson, Daniel Cleary and Daniel Kelly, along with Fyffes’ sales and marketing manager Emma Hunt-Duffy to present the cheque to Denise Fitzergerald, chief executive of the Temple Street Foundation.

Considering how many years we've been hand to mouth it feels wonderful to be able to support this kind of thing.

Who knows, perhaps when we're rock bottom again one of those kids will have grown up to be a billionaire and might give us a dig out!!
