Has passed away at 48. That’s no age. RIP.

My favourite player at what was a difficult time for the club. Used to always talk him up on the old OW when slagging many of the rest off.

Really saddened and shocked to see this last night. Noel would be the first to admit that he wasn't the greatest footballer, but he worked hard to make the most of his career, and indeed his life. I met Noel at work when he proved to be an excellent and inspiring trainer. When I mentioned that I was a Dundalk fan he happily chatted to me for a good half hour and when I bumped into him a year later in Oriel he knew who I was. A really kind, warm, hard-working, intelligent, charming guy.

A gent who after finishing with DFC was regularly a visitor at home matches. A decent footballer with 100% commitment, A word for everyone and very popular guy. One of the positives in a very difficult time for our club. Spoke to an ex Dundalk player this morning and he told me that he played a charity match with Noel around 2 years ago and he only lasted 20/25 mins while Noel played the full 90!
R.I.P. Noel and deepest condolences to family and friends

Very sad to hear about the passing of such a young chap. 48 is no age these days. I remember him as a very hardworking player who made the absolute best of his limited ability in a poor period for the club. Thoughts are with his family. RIP Noel.
