Bohemians V Dundalk | Fri 11 Oct | 7:45pm | Dalymount | Matchday 34

Bohemians should present a real test with the scent of a European place in their nostrils. A win for Bohs would almost certainly achieve it and they will see this as being a really big opportunity.

Following the strong starting team selected against Derry, what should VP do - select what he sees as his best first eleven, injuries permitting, or give fringe players a chance to stake a claim for the FAI Cup final?

Bohemians have been poor since the summer break. Finn Harps last league win was against Bohs. UCD's last league win was against Bohs. They looked poor last night too and the pitch looked dreadful.

The only reason they might be a test is lads trying to avoid injury.

McEleney shipped a bad knock in Sligo. Murray had to be withdrawn yet again and there must be a real question about his ability to get fit and stay fit. I'm hoping McGrath didn't play last night because he was being rested. If we have any guaranteed starters for the final I'd be looking to give some the night off. Gannon and Shields in particular if possible.

Murray received an elbow to the face. Not much he can do about that.

Ah, missed that. Didn't realise that's why they hooked him.

Busted face alright. Could actually be a broken nose. Was a fair bit of blood when he came round to the bench.

Surely Georgie Kelly gets a start? Hoban is just so low on confidence - thats the kindest way I can put it....Presumably the reason Hoban started against Derry is in the hope he regains some form before the cup final. 7 goals (excluding penalties) in 29 games suggests otherwise.
Will Georgie be here next season - if he cant dislodge Hoban in his current form then maybe Vinny thinks he is not up to the standard required.

Jodi Stand likely to sell out, Des Kelly sell out much less likely

Normal warnings about Jodi for home fans only, but as usual Dundalk fans will buy and congregate together

James Rogers
@jamesdundalk
Six Dundalk players missed training this week due to a flu in the camp. With Patrick Hoban suspended and Patrick McEleney and John Mountney out, it means team selection is tough to guess for tomorrow's trip to Dalymount Park to face Bohs

Interesting to note that there is nothing on the club website about Patrick Hoban suspension

Team news

We have had a flu in the squad this week with 6 players missing training through the week. We are unsure how those will be however we will be giving them every chance ahead of kick-off.. John Mountney remains out with a foot injury and Patrick McEleney also is sidelined with hamstring and back issues.
