For all the non-believers out there, Gary Rogers is on LOI Central podcast this week, adding more to the record that PEAK6 / Bill's running of the club was/is a mess, unsettling for players and a direct reason for him choosing not to carry on playing for another year.

He said it was a different club to the one he joined and that he'd stopped enjoying his football as a result... and this despite reaching the Europa League group stages and winning an FAI Cup.

Of course it is a different club .... the club he signed for was owned and run by local two fans who took Europe as a bonus and an adventure, their ambitions were to win the LOI, head off on a jolly in Europe and see what happens. The minute they sold to Peak6, the club became a business which was expected to develope and make profit, which meant Europe every year, no more jolly but pressure. Peak6 have not covered the loss made over their period because they think its a laugh, they did it because they assumed they could turn things to make the club profitable.
This is not defending Peak6, however it should be clear to most people, if an investment company buy a club, they expect a little more and are more ruthless than a few locals who seen it as a business which offered them a challenge and a bit of craic.

He signed for Stephen Kenny, the most professional manager in the history of the league, not ‘locals on a jolly’, so what you wrote there is an insulting crock of shit.

You should try listening to what he said, because he also says Bill had a zoom meeting with the squad when they were in Vienna to apologise for the clown show ‘the ruthless business’ had become.

How the club was run pre Peak 6 is far superior than how it's being run now. Everything you've listed what a investment company does when they buy a club is everything Peak 6 is not doing.

I never said they were doing it (wish they were), I said it is what should ahve been expected. Big difference if 2 local lads who are fans are running things or if an investor is doing it. Where Andy and Paul may have said, he is a nice lad, sure I know his Ma and Da, Peak6 look at stats or whatever and make a decision, nothing personal about it.

I think it was expected (and hoped) but never came to pass. There is a lot of lessons to be learned for whoever takes over the club next. I suspect it won't be another investment company unless someone sees some post brexit advantages to an English speaking non-brexit European club.

“Where Andy and Paul may have said, he is a nice lad, sure I know his Ma and Da”

You are so far off the mark I don’t think you really paid the club any heed before this crowd turned up, just like it’s obvious you haven’t listened to what Gary said.

James Rogers also pushing the anti-Peak6 agenda on his podcast this week, disgraceful, why can't everyone accept that Peak6 are doing everything right and the problems are the fans, journalists, players, agents, FAI, Louth County Council, Government of Ireland, EU, UN & NATO.

They have a masterplan and it's all coming together any day now, orchestrated by world renowned football expert Bill Hulsizer.

Actually one point that JR was complaining about was that the team were not being given the funds by P6 to train in Tallaght but lo and behold a video of them doing just that yesterday popped up on the Patron today.

Enjoyed the town end pods and looking foward to the others . .. . the post game chat is enjoyable on town end , and this weeks trbute handled well - hope the lads ( on all the club pods ) find a way to get sponcored etc eventually.

Pods are a good place to assess the game , and then tag on the longer term / in depth issues and concerns etc. Its a difficult balance to strike im sure but

McDonnell from LOI weekly, as always ... essentaially ignoring our turn around - obsessed with the negatives.
https://twitter.com/McDonnellDan/status ... 1588072449
Seems he can't help but lean towards criticsm of the club on such a big night for us.

While we all want clarity - the result we got last night was a financial 'variable' that is now known & helps to assess our budget for next year. There are lots of financial 'variables'.
The one that could have seen us relegated (with losses 3-1 to waterford / 5-1 to bohs) is also gone ... but instead of recognising the progress - so many like Dan want to see our ( or maybe P6's) downfall.

You wonder whats driving Mcdonald (and the Aldi versions wanabees on some other LOI pods) et al ... Dont see them doing it with a dublin club.
Perhaps its' that they were all so critical and snide about the managerial (re) appotinment, thats it's working out sticks in their throat, after his past scathing aticles. Perhaps its natural for people to be waiting in the grass after such a period of dominance.

It not just us , between the waffle (/stripes) lads had serious go at McNulty, cork keeper this week.... souded agest rather than football based , appauling attempts to be contravertial about someone just doing a job . Similar to the anti Abbibi stuff in recent weeks . Calling on Mcnulty to retire from football - an unpaid podcaster, wannabe journalists , calling on someone to quit their job becuase if their age? Gutter 'sports journalism' from the back bedroom stuff - to be fair to Dan / Con's pods - they're not at that low level.

been a geat couple of weeks for us despite the sniping. thankfully the win takes the wind out of the sales of manay of the begrudgers

Or maybe Dan is a Dundalk fan and is disgusted with what is going on behind the scenes

It's much easier for people to present Dan as an evil reporter with an agenda than admit to themselves that the club is a shambles behind the scenes

The tweet linked was 100% accurate and he wasn’t the only one thinking it last night.

Some abuse underperforming players from the stands

Some subtly undermine management at every opportunity

Some can’t/couldn’t wait to write about the ‘downfall’

Some peddle agenda driven speculative rumours

Some hope for , and enjoy us winning

Different ways to ‘support’ the club I suppose .
