Patrick McEleney? Sean Hoare?

Anyone know the story?

El Paso wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 7:50 pm Since the restart *barely three weeks ago* the following started with or have picked up injuries. Question marks where I'm not sure if they had knocks or were just left out of the squad:

Gannon (?)
Dummigan
Hoare
Cleary
Gartland
Boyle
Leahy
Sloggett
Flores (?)
Mountney
McEleney
Murray
McMillan (?)

Normally you'd call that bad luck - but considering we appear to have no pace in the side either, just wtf are the strength and conditioning people at?
El Paso I am a sprints coach and they have no speed in them. Nothing nó zip nó pace. The again they might just be going through the motions and putting little effort in. But you would think professional pride would kick in.. But for me I would think they are spending too much time in the gym. Even Duffy seems to be 2 yards off the pace... Their reaction times look brutal. They would need 3-4 weeks now of intensive speed work.. Bill, John Alan I am available. 👍

Remember the days when we used to pride ourselves on being the fittest team in the league and scored numerous late goals as the opposition flagged. Yea? Seems like a lifetime ago now doesn't it!!

Players out injured tonight
Dummigan
Hoban
Fats
Cleary
Flores

It’s endless. None of our midfielders apart from Shields ever have a run of games. None of our competitors are having this problem. Is this just bad luck? Don’t think any player can be judged without a run of games but if they can’t have a run of games is it worth it. Was the same last season

Is it the pitch or the wrong type of Conditioning or both?

You can't continually get that much bad luck though can you?

Injuries could be a mix of the following: players age, injury record, bad injury manangement and like in many other leagues, strange as it may sound...the Covid break/restart. Personally would be with El Paso (doesnt happen often) that they have to look at people....injury problem seems to have been a problem pre Covid also.

Hopefully everyone will be fit for Thursday. It does feel like the pre match report in the club website all has is with a fully fit squad and then when we get to the game 4-5 are injured. Not sure if they are injured or out of favour. What’s wrong with Massey and why is there no report in his injury? How close is Dummigan. What’s the story with Flores. At times it feels we have more communication from the club but less information. Think we need Fats for Thursday. Think we have a decent chance in this one.

Just watching the shootout again this morning. At the very end there is a wide angle shot which picks up Sean Gannon. He is wearing a protective boot and limping very gingerly towards the scrum. That's both 1st choice full backs out. Fil might persevere with Hoare at right back but Dummigan needs some game time before he ends up having to play because of injury/suspension. It also appears that - despite all bar Massey being fit - Oduwa didn't travel as I couldn't see him anywhere. Is his loan deal up?

Fats out for the season. Stating the obvious but need a replacement for him and a Skip type for new season. Still would want to have Fats at club next season as he is a great player and his luck must change
