I wonder what Magilton thinks of all this, and would he actually have a case to be either reinstated to his contracted role or paid off ...could he resign and claim constructive dismissal?

Is the final irony as Peak6 head out the door having burned the place down First For Players suing for breach of contract?

He was on a decent number with the IFA ,without all this hassle

I doubt he would have gotten involved had he foreseen this situation . And a chairman wanting to reappoint someone he let go a year ago

No Niall just someone who’s angry and upset at what’s happening. I feel sorry for anyone who can see what’s happening in front of all our eyes and still cast around trying to blame other people for it, or say they won’t believe anything until the club makes a statement. It’s a level of denial of reality I didn’t expect.

Where do you think the club would have been had Andy and Paul never sold?? Do you think we would have been better off?? Do you think they would have been in a position to meet contract demands of players re-signing contracts?? Why do you think Rovers need two investors putting money in???
Fans forget, with success comes expectations, with expectations come costs. Those costs are the reason Andy and Paul sold up and run. They said they couldnt take the club any further, they would never have been in a position to finance a ground redevelopement ..... meaning they knew they didnt have the €1,7 millionto play with to attempt to bring the first team further. Fans up in arms about the €1,7 million owed to Peak6 without knowing if they will demand it back, just about sums up what they have been facing. The big bad American capitalists .... tell you what lads, if we were top, 80%+ of the the people questioning them wouldnt say a word. Peak6 would be top of the pops and the debts would be a case of ..... sure they have it.

Hopefully they won’t get it back. It’s no one else’s fault they spent the club’s money like coked up frat boys in a Mexican titty bar and now have regrets.

That is maybe the first thing we have agreed on Bob, Peak6 have fucked up, a person (I will not say people as I only know about 1 definately) within the club and FAI worked against them and now they have had enough. If they are going to walk, they should either sell us to new owners who have good intentions or walk and leave a few bob in the bank.

What role do people believe the FAI have potentially played in their decision to walk??? I had an interesting chat with the owner of British club this week, asked him in jest if he would be interesting in another club and his answer was "YES, but not in Ireland. The FAI with or without JD is not doing enough for the national league". I later asked the owners of a German / Austrian club group (not Red Bull) and they told me something similar. They asked how clubs should survive or manage to survive when their is next to no income. Their CEO said he could take his money to the casino, as he has much chance their of making a profit as he would have any LOI club.

Yes but Peak 6 would have been aware of the low funding before they took over. Or were they expecting it to increase because they were investing in Dundalk? The FAI were cash strapped.

Waterford got new ownership recently from the UK after Lee Power sold up.

I am personally denying nothing. If they leave they leave. Dundalk was here before any owner. But there is no point speculating on anything until it becames reality. However i for one would prefer us where we currently are, to being run on a shoestring and bottom of the first division. They are inexperienced owners and have spent very very foolishly, but they have spent.. If we could get rid of the parasites things might be different.

Where would we be if some idiot didn't put his dad in charge of the club who then blew through €7M+?

And you bring about 80% of that rubbish to the table. Now your stadium project is dead in the water you will need something else to spin on and on and on about.
