Terique Mohammed moves back to Canada on loan.
As an aside, I read it on Twitter and was surprised by the comment on it by one of the podcasts that talk about Dundalk along the lines of not caring what happens to him. The club were just giving out information which should be welcomed imo

What was the point in signing this lad and the dogan lad in the first place? And do we actually know what happened with Athlone and recalling these lads a week before the season started?

Shane Lavery joined Blackpool from Linfield https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57394315
It was mentioned that Pat Hoban was a Linfield target previously, but he said he wants to stay. Maybe the links will reappear.

This article seems to suggest Shields has already agreed terms with Linfield.

Very sad to see him go as he has been an amazing servant to the club. Another club legend down and an emotional connection between fans and the players broken

And the worst thing about this, if true and he goes, any fee whether this will be 10, 20, 30, 40k, will not make one bit of difference to our plight in terms of finances.

The player, his leadership, the heartbeat of the team, everything else outside of a transfer fee will be lost.

Two EL Group stage qualifications in the last 5 years the chance to dominate football for the medium term, nothing to show for it and now reduced to this.

Seems a done deal. So we're not going to even try to offer him a contract extension? We're happy to let him walk? Sad and angry. I suppose he'll be next for the "he wasn't trying a leg anyway, lined up this move months ago, he's past it" treatment that Gannon got. I don't think he's shown as much leadership on or off the pitch the last few months that you'd hope though.

I don't think it's surprising when they aren't prepared to offer a manager a contract beyond this season. Derry City will likely be tracking McEleney and Michael Duffy. Whether they can match the wages of other clubs is another thing..

Do you blame Shields, only so much of the sh! 5 show you can take, club is a laughing stock, that can tarnish a reputation it took so long to build so mayaswell get out of dodge sooner rather than later. Besides he obviously has been offered a good deal to go closer to home or risk staying and being hit with a pay cut?!

Hoare
Massey
Gannon
Mountney
Kelly
McEleney
Most to Pats and some have signed pre contacts already.
Doubts about Shields also.

From what I'm hearing the shine is starting to wear off the whole thing for Peak6.
Based on the above that I was told last November, McEleney mighn't have long left either.

To be honest all great servants, but their best years are behind them. Shields has been a shadow of his former self this year, due to poor players beside him, but also old father time catching up with him. Will Linfield get 3 or 4 good years out of him? Then we have McEleney let's be honest his last outstanding match was when he got the winner in the cup final v cork. We were all complaining about the input from Gannon last season and the errors of Hoare. Mountney and Massey i would have kept absolute error of judgement from FG and Jm there, and for me Dan Kelly needs to if fit, start every game now.
The aim for the remainder of the season is to stay up, which we will if the players decide that is the very least they owe us. If we are having financial issues release the likes of zahibo, han, midstkogen, perez, Sonni all players I assume we are renting accomodation for? The problem we have, is that these players along with rest of the squad may decide to just sit and wait til the season is over before they move for free, whilst collecting a serious wage from oriel.

Yes but finding similar quality replacements not as easy. But that's Jim Magiltons role as DOF.
If it's a limited budget, he'll have to find a few gems on a low fee. It's easy with a load of money to throw about, finding the right player on a low budget will take a good eye.
