Matt putting his money in Monaco´s ladies team instead!!!
Or it could be a clear sign of Matt realising his father is an idiot that just burned through millions with nothing to show for it
Either way ..... the lads better get saving. They are a big step closer to getting what they wanted ...... "the club back!!!".
Think the bigger issue if they leave may just be the insults directed at the owners father, the protests against the same man ..... the FAI ..... no desire to make major moves to improve the LOI in general.
On another note .... how many in here would sack their own father if they could afford to pick up the bill for him enjoying himself??? Just hope the lads are not crying in 12 months about the grass not being so green on the other side.

Wonder what the protesters will have to say if the rumours about the Goodmanns getting involved are true ..... sure they wont like them either .... billionares who 100% wont spend money without a guaranteed return.

If he can afford to pick up the bill for his dad to enjoy himself (a far cry from the strategy you were confident Peak6 had and everything was going in the right direction), why the internal investigation to see where all the money went?

One thing giving your father money to enjoy, another allowing stranger(s) potentially rob from you!!!

Peak 6 weren't going to be long term owners. They saw the bright lights in 2016 ,when Dundalk made the group stages and thought it would be a good investment.
Bill talked of winning the Champions league
But ultimately they have been making a loss each year since they took over, group stage last year recouped some
They talked of dominating the League to be in the champions league qualifiers. But those hopes are again in tatters.

They had a 25% stake in Bournemouth and pulled out of that. A full stake in Dundalk where it's only European football they realistically can make money was always going to be a gamble
They banked on signing a lot of foreign imports to increase the chances of performing in Europe, but those players have struggled adjusting to the League.
It's not common in the League for that many outside players to be brought in and expect to hit the ground running

The club will still he there,if it's first Division and rebuild then that's what they'll have to do.
Cork City trying to rebuild in First Division. Rangers were demoted for financial reasons to the Scottish 3rd division and now champions. Juventus also spent time out of Seria for financial reasons

Everybody is blaming peak 6 for all of this. They are money people not football people. To be fair whether it was their money, money that was already there, or money we won in recent years, it appears to have been spent, foolishly alot of the time, with nothing g to show for it going forward. But for me the questions that need to be asked, is who spotted these players, recommend these players and ultimately signed these players on the over inflated wages they are on. This is the biggest problem we have, because peak 6 wouldn't know the first thing about signing players. Ultimately if you are on say guaranteed €3k a week, and you know you are leaving in Novemeber, then you aren't gonna bleed for the cause. Something has soured the experience for peak 6. Cos hiring Jim Magilton on a 4 yr deal was not the sign of owners looking to pack up. The hiring of FG has taken us about 4 steps backwards and will take a while to recover from. As bad as it is currently on and off the pitch, the gk issue is the one that has slaughtered us so far this season. Only for it we are top 3 and in a challenging position.
However the reluctance to hire a new manager is very alarming. Either nobody wants it or it was always gonna be magilton. Healy was a non runner cos if he was interested he would be in situ by now.

Niall because they are business people and not football people that doesn't mean they should be exempt from blame. It was Peak 6 or bill who appointed Fillipo, who offered a 6 month deal to Hoare, among other things

I think they haven't appointed a manager as it looks like they might depart ,or won't finance big wages for a manager. It also puts Magiltons future into question at end of season . It's a 4 years deal but would he be around if they depart? Or how would the rest of his contract be financed?

Niall, in Bill’s interview on the Press Box he said how great the agents he’s met are and how much they love their players. He was asked about the American players and started waffling about Jamie Vardy. We know Bill did the negotiations for the contract renewals because the players said he was doing it via Zoom. Hard to understand how it hasn’t dawned on people yet what’s been happening.

So is it bill's peak 6 fault the players are not up to it? Those touting the players are to blame.

Where is it confirmed? It said in the star article yesterday Magilton wasn't keen on his return, but the chairman wants it done

It’s the same article that was in the Star. It doesn’t say Vinny is back. Buzz publishes Star pieces. They’re both owned by the publishers of the Mirror papers.

Ah come on Niall. So Bill swaps the prize cow for a few magic beans and it's the shady guy in the markets fault?

Bill is incredibly naive and he was taken for an absolute ride by agents. If you are pointing fingers, point one at the idiot that put a 77 year old with no experience of football in charge of a football club.
