Shamrock Rovers v Dundalk | League Series 3 | Friday 02 April 2021 ko 19.30

Seeing as everyone is on fire today, we might as well throw this one out there.

I suppose the main question is whether Jurkovskis will be up to playing his 5th game in 14 days. Oh and the minor issue of 3 or 4 at the back. Midfield/wingers is anyone's guess, with the exception of Shields and - hopefully - Duffy.

We have plenty of pace in the team that we can exploit Rovers on the break. This game really could go any way

On Friday nights performance no way Stanton can start. Neither would Sloggett either.

Abibi
Jurkovskis Cleary Boyle Leahy
Shields
Duffy McEleney Stanton Han
Hoban

Dummigan in for Jurkovskis if needs be.

Stanton hasnt done anything to suggest he should be starting but there is no one else who merits a place either IMO - Sloggett and Junior havent done much. Zahibo would of been my choice to see how he gets on but obviously wont be available.

If Gartland was up to speed I would have him in instead of Boyle

Why would you drop Dummigan? He has been one of our better performers over past couple of games.

Certainly wasn't on of Shield's better games for sure, nobody could hold their head high after that (maybe O'Kane). I think Shields was badly exposed by Stanton and Slogett, both offered nothing and hid for the game meaning Shields had to do everything. Shows how reliant we are on Fats and unfortunately he is injured already and unlikely to be his last this season.

Agreed, surely the logical swap is Jurkovskis for Leahy?

Yeah true enough, was thinking more Jurkovskis as RB, forgot he could play both sides.

It's a poor attempt at an April Fools joke if it is.
