A game where the result mattered more than the performance which was patchy , didn't understand the triple substitution on the hour mark when we're one up , taught shields looked very tired second half and Han although he played well was drifting in and overcrowding things at times , should they of had a peno early second half it looked like one but didn't see a Replay, anyway points on the board and onwards and upwards hopefully.

Droghda played well in the second half. They were lumping it forward in the first half, when they played on the ground they looked a threat with James Brown dangerous attacking. Hans goal came at a good time as they were having a lot of the ball. Dundalk still can't keep a clean sheet , leaky defence.

You'd imagine they will have a new manager in place for the next game v Waterford. Good for Han to get the goal, McMillan with 2 in 2. He barely featured under Fillipo after the Cup final which was comical

Question ?
Davy Mac or Pat to start..personally I’d pick Davy Mac.

Yeah he should get a run of games now,. His hold up
play and work rate is very good. They are 2 reliable playe.

Shamrock Rovers while they have a good gap, haven't much cutting edge outside of Burke, Gaffney starting to perform but after that, Aaron Greene is a not a great finisher.
Pat's while going well currently haven't a prolific forward. Coughlan is a good link player and will score a few,a few but not 20 a season.

Parkes at Sligo would probably be up there with Hoban,McMillan , Burke as top finishers in the League

Davy over hoban any day of the week, it's so frustrating watching hoban play, all the man does is sulk on the pitch, Mcmillan will run all day and has as many goals as hoban has this season it's a no brainer for me

As much as I love Pat and his hold up play, Davy Mac did absolutely nothing to get dropped. He was on fire at the end of last season.

Looking back at the match that was some ball from Zahibo out to Jurkovskis. If you watch his highlights on YouTube that seems to be his speciality.

Also some touch by Jurkovskis, controlled on his right, and crossed on his left for the goal. I know we played 4 at the back last few weeks, but really starting to open the gaps up with now as players get more comfortable with the formation, 3-5-2 lends for far too crowded in attack for me, when a full back pushes up.
