Longford Town v Dundalk | League Series 9 | Monday 03 May 2021 ko 17.45

End of the first round of games is suddenly upon us. We could conceivably be up to 4th if Harps and Drogheda fail to win. Important to keep the gap to the top at 11 max.

Injuries are becoming a really big problem, although I expect the club to play their cards close to their chest. I'm happy to guess who plays at the back - or anywhere else - as long as the opposition analysts have the same problem. I would hope that Sonni would get some game time on Monday ahead of the 2 Rovers games. No disrespect but I doubt Adedokun or Douglas are up to playing that level yet, and we certainly don't want to see Chris Shields playing full back. With Junior being the only fit striker (Mitskogen can't be heading the ball in his condition) don't be surprised to see Jesus getting game time in case he is needed.

I see the Harps keeper threw one in against rovers yesterday. Between that and what happened in the Bohs match theyโ€™re having plenty of luck. Hard to see anybody taking points off them at the minute unfortunately

Does the main commentator on the Watch LOI stream know we can see the action? You'd swear he was on the radio describing every touch. Very annoying.

We have the 2 worst keepers in the league.. No excuses now. Sign a decent keeper in July as a priority. The starying 11 is not great it is as if we just felt we could turn up and win.

The defence is all over the shop too. The signs were there against Drogheda in the second half, and against Waterford .

Farcical goalkeeping aside I thought we played ok in the first half. Junior looks much better as a striker thru the middle and Adedokun doing well on his first start.

Sloggett and Murray off for Zahibo and D Kelly at some stage I hope. Very winnable game.

We're still paying the price for Bill hiring Fillipo. Not signing a goalkeeper of a suitable quality is criminal.

Some very sloppy football betting played but if we get our act together I still think we can win this. Biggest positive is Adedokun's performance. I thought we were very light in that position and if that's the equality we can expect from Adedokun, I can see how he started before an established pro like Leahy

It was Jim Magilton who signed Cherrie. They will new number 1 in July , regardless.

It was a panic signing as we had one keeper coming into the start of the season.
