Hi folks, quick update on tickets for the game with Levadia in Tallaght on Thursday.

The capacity has been set at 1,000. ⁣Tickets will be available to all season ticket holders and Patreon members, priced at €20 for adults, €10 for juveniles. Details on how to buy them will follow but more than likely it will be a link that will be emailed out. Can you please ensure the email address you gave to the club for your season ticket/Patreon is the email address you currently use.

Each season ticket has a unique barcode which is required to purchase a ticket. If you don't have your season ticket card, you can collect it between 10am-4pm from the front office over the next few days.

Thanks,
Gavin

Just looking at the prize money, looks like each club is given 100k before the competition even starts. The th breakdown is as follows:

All clubs entering the UCL or UEL qualifying phases and losing their qualifying matches in those competitions will finish their qualification run in the UECL. The amounts for the clubs eliminated in the UECL qualifying rounds or play-offs are as follows:
o UECL Q1: €150,000
o UECL Q2: €350,000
o UECL Q3: €550,000
o UECL play-offs: €750,000

So that puts us on 450k earned so far, with the next tie being worth another 200k if I’ve read that right.

As Champions league and europa league teams will end up in the conference league, looks like they get the prize money from the conference league qualifying round they drop into. So rovers are on 100+550= 650k, plus an champions that don’t make group stages get another 260k, so 910k in total, though they have a good draw in the 3rd round

I can't find an official UEFA link but this was worked out by the Belfast Telegraph back in June and would match up with the general idea that prize money is slightly up on last year.

https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/spor ... 95110.html

There is a payment of €100k for each round in which you participate. (Not sure if you get €100k where you miss a round for a bye i.e. Rovers)

There is also an "exit bonus" at the point where you are knocked out.
QR1 - €150k
QR2 - €350k
QR3 - €550k
QR4 - €750k

My understanding is that we are already on €550k (€200k + €350k), with an additional €300k riding on the Levadia tie. In Rover's case they are already on €200k/€300k + €550k + €260k for failing to reach group stages. It's worth remembering that most of the €100k per round is going to be swallowed up by the away (and home) leg. A sizable chunk of the exit money will go on playing staff and management bonuses. It's by no means "money in the bank".

Vitesse is a stinker of a draw. By any measure they are on a different planet to us. Would be another lovely trip, but we won't even get that!

I think he's well light on his calculations. The prize money for the old "lose CLR1/lose ELR2" (ala Cork City in 2018) was circa €800k. I can't see it being only 1M for 2 more rounds. This is the trouble with the first year of new competitions/prize money formats. It's been simplified in that everyone who doesn't make the group stages of either the CL or El ends up in the ECL and exits as above, but no-one will be really sure of the exact amount until after the clubs have been paid by UEFA.

Ah you're right OF, the 100k fixed amount is per round. So winning this tie would get us 850k

So there's prize money for progressing and participation money for playing. Rovers like Cork in 2018 will miss out on a bit of cash by getting a bye but that's more than compensated with a free passage and a free 0.5 coefficient point.

Yeah they miss out on 100k for not playing in QR2, but are still sitting on 200k+550k and 260k if they lose, so €1m already

Thanks for that UEFA PDF link. It's very helpful. That's my reading of it too, that they're already on €1m.

So have we earned 850k for winning that tie?

Do we get 550k if we get knocked out in the next round?

What about our coefficient?

Money first: €850k if we exit in the next round, add €300k if we win and progress to 4th Rd.

We've got 2.0 so far with 0.5 more if we were to beat VA and get to 4th Round. Coefficient is now 9.5, only 1 less than last years.

Some results of interest so far: Larne, TNS, Hibernian & Aberdeen all through, Bate Borisov are out. Linfield look comfortable and Bohs have just scored to go 2-0 on agg. Feyenord are 2-1 down (also agg.) at home FC Drita from Kosovo and look to be in trouble.

Hopefully the club try and get the Aviva for the next round. It's doable as Bohs will be at home first in rd 3 while we are away to Vitesse. That way every Dundalk fan gets to see the 3rd round tie. Get the tickets on sale early. To be fair ae could have easily allowed 2k or 3k into tallaght but obviously covid dictates otherwise. It's frustrating when there will be 18k in Croke Park in Sunday and we can only get 1k into Tallaght.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

As I mentioned previously, this is where "not toeing the party line" comes back to haunt us. If you have been a bad boy the FAI stop doing you favours. Breakeven point for the Aviva WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COVID EXPENSE is 16,000 bums on seats.

Bohs get the Aviva at a reduced rate under the guise of (two) test events.

Favours was how JD kept power, nobody could afford to stand up to him. Until the club's demand in 2017 that the FAI give us our own money trumped his handful of IOUs.
