Former owners were in contact with the council about it, if I am not mistaken Treacy said he also spoke to them. DKIT joint venture, what is now going to be the Louth GAA ground and potential greenfield ground were all dicussed with the council or better said councilors knew they were in the room.

There didn't seem to be great communication when Dundalk were looking at the proposal of the ground share https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2019/10 ... h-dundalk/

Tarp erected at the town end presumably to block people watching from outside the ground

Stepping back & looking at the situation / & a Plan for Dundalk FC .
Agenda.
A New Stadium .
It beggars belief that this is not happening . We would double attendances , if proper facilities were in place . Crowds would come from far & wide . The present situation is like having a run down shop on Grafton St. The club need to inform supporters, now . The owners need to address it & spell it out .

Here's a suggestion. Join the supporters protest and ask them to lobby on your behalf.
Dundalk Fc. First Irish club to win points in group stages of a major European Competition.

How about the lads who were protesting outside Oriel, starting similar protests outside, FF, FG and SF offices in town under the title of "rebuild our ground" or "support our club"?? Add council offices to that ....... for any LOI club to build / make major improvments to their ground public money is needed. Without support from councilors, TDs and Senators ..... this money will never be made available, will always go to those who scream the loudest. Have any of the protestors ever asked Imelda Munster (very vocal in the JD saga) or Ruairí Ó Murchú to support the clubs or fans with a capital grants application, to sound out th government on potential applications?? Fitzpatrick used and abused his position within politics to get Louth GAA what they wanted and needed, so why wouldnt lads try the same with the other local TDs who get the majority of votes when it comes to elections??
