Hearing of a loss of a most valued member of Oriel Web today guys, if this is true its devastating as this guy was an absolute gent.

Fairly active on this forum also, and had plenty of debates about DFC with most of us. I don't want to give any more details until this is confirmed, as I have only recently being told.

It has been confirmed Mike on rip. ie.. Awfully sad news Colm was a gent. And a great supporter of the club and was involved with the club when Gerry Matthews was owner. Rip Colm. Ezeikial.

Really saddened to hear this news tonight. Colm was a gentleman who was always willing to debate rationally. Had many a good chat with him in the Enda Mc Guill suite and at away games. Above all else he truly loved Dundalk FC. Condolences to all of his family and friends.

Really sorry to hear this, had many debates with him on Orielweb disagreeing with many posts and agreeing with many more. We were at opposite viewpoints about something on Orielweb and we met in real life at an away European game not knowing who the other was, when we revealed our names we had a good chuckle about it over a couple of pints.

RIP Colm

Yes, confirmed now, so sorry to hear this, and I think we have all (I have) had feisty arguments with him on here, but he had one thing 100% in his heart, and that was a love of DFC.

RIP Colm

Was deeply concerned when Colin mentioned he had been for tests last year. Even so the news has come as a huge shock. We worked closely during the Gerry Matthews era and throughout those difficult times his commitment to the club was absolute. He was also a true friend when I lost my wife in similar circumstances.

Just noticed this was the last message posted on this thread until tonight, a true gent.

Very sad. Colm (Eziekial) was such a regular on here. Didn't always agree with his opinions but he put them forward very eloquently. Always prepared to defend his point of view but intelligent enough to listen to other voices and change his mind. A true Dundalk supporter. This forum will be diminished by his loss. Rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear the passing of Colm. As stated, his work and commitment to the club during the GM era was something to be admired. It should also be noted, that Colm played a critical role in European football being allowed in Oriel Park in 2010 and beyond.

May be Rest In Peace.
