This seems to be such a massive game for us and the league as a whole. Possibly year defining.
5 points away from 2nd, 3 points away from 8th. A win, we are pushing into the top group, and are keeping ourselves in contention. Lose, and we might destine ourselves for a mid-table scrap. Plenty of games to go..... but this game might really set the tone for the season. Must not lose for Rovers either, they just got back to 2 points from Derry, can't lose and go back to 5.
We are pretty solid but lack much flair (although Bradley coming into form might help that) and we struggle in midfield. By not conceding too much, we will always be picking up points, but to be in contention, we have to start winning. Plenty of games in April, with normally teams like Rovers (it used to be us) can use their much bigger squad and depth to rack up some wins. Injuries are starting to pile up for us, and in a mid-week game that could really affect us. Rovers also created plenty of chances against us by going long last time but were opened themselves a couple of times.

Biggest challenge of the season thus far. Rovers are the team to beat and still favourites for the league in my opinion. They're not at the levels they were at but they're still a very good side. Hopefully Benson and Williams are fit for this as we will need their energy in midfield.

Somehow I find it difficult to see this as a "Season defining game". After Monday, there will still be 81 points on offer. That, in itself, would win the league in a lot of seasons.

Usually I pay inside shopping centre before I go the ground. I’m looking at the car park beside B and Q now as an alternativeniall_hearty2000 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 4:06 pmI would imagine we can still park thereMartin Lawlor80 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 2:14 pm Tallaght shopping centre closes at 6 this evening. That starting 11 is bonkers. If he pulls this off he's a tactical genius.

Interesting starting 11. Looks like it's a combination of everything - injuries/resting/rotation/tactical. Is it 3 plus wing backs, with no recognised centre forward?
Subs
Cherrie, Boyle, Hoban, Martin, Bradley, Animasahun, Hanratty, O'Kane, McMillan.

Park the bus and hope for the best it looks like. Hoban being rested was an opportunity for McMillan but its packing the midfield.

Very solid defensively but finding it really hard to break them down. Someone needs to put an arm around Leahy, something's not right with him.

This is a poor RVs side as poor as 4 yrs ago regressed massively imho. Get a striker on and get at them. Nothing to fear here. Bone playing well in holding mf
