That's it. Where is the consistency. I'm not sure the managers are represented by the PFAI but there needs to be a word with the refs from as the amount of red cards managers are getting seems to be be extremely excessive

Missed the game so can't really comment too much on our performance, our away form is dreadful however I do think it's a good point away from home and it stops Pats from closing the gap. They've been very inconsistent this season and are nailed on to drop points so we just have to keep focused on ourselves.

Shame to see Boyle in a rough patch of form. Maybe a few games for Bone wouldn't be a bad shout to increase the competition for starting places. Bone is only 23-24, there could be a decent centre half in there of you consider that Garts was 25-26 whenever he really came into form.

Agree with this 100% and haven't a foggiest why he was dropped to begin with. Good result all things considered but would question SOD's decisions at times. Benson out wide while Bradley was on the bench? Then switching Sloggett to RB when Bone was still on the field!? Good to see Hoban get a full 90 all the same. Sidenote but anyone know why we were in all red last night and Pats in white? Didn't make any sense...

Can anybody tell me why we (more or less) played in Pats colours and they (more or less) played in ours?
Come on the Lilywhites?.......................

It's usually because of an overly fussy referee and supposed colour clashes. Going by his performance the other night, that certainly wouldn't surprise me.

We actually played well and had plenty of the ball but we fell into our usual issues when chasing a game and found it very challenging to break a team down that was sitting back. We seem the spread play to the wings a lot when in the final third instead trying to play through the middle or taking a gamble and shooting. I can't remember any shots on target apart from the goal which was a badly deflected o.g., however if you don't shoot you won't score.

I can understand your reply, but what I cannot understand is the reversal of team colours, e.g., why did Pats not play in their traditional (or almost traditional) red?

If I remember correctly the last time Pats came to Oriel there was a kit clash because of Pats goalkeeper jersey and we had to wear our black and amber kit while Pats wore their home kit. Either it was a fair is fair agreement between O'Donnell and Clancy or it was some form of mind games although I highly doubt it.

Forgive the cynic in me, but there is always an element of clubs trying to promote alternative kits.

Had a few beers watching the game, but seem to remember them mentioning it had to do with Pats home and Dundalks home kits having white arms. Now I am not sure if that is the real reason, however it would fit into the FAI way of thinking.
