I don't think pointing to a reality is moaning. These next few games are pivotal though. Pats and Sligo arguably the better squads. It get it's not dire, but I really struggle to see where goals and proper link play are coming from without Pat Hoban

I heard on some podcasts it would be an unbelievable achievement if Dundalk get European football, from where they were last season. A bit of an exaggeration, considering the amount of players other Clubs have lost to the UK. There was still good experience in the Dundalk team, and brought back Benson who has won plenty. They just needed to steady the ship with a reliable keeper , which they done, and a few other signings.

Taking the squad on its own I would agree that qualifying for Europe would not be quite "unbelievable", but when you take into account the list of injuries and Connolly's departure mid season it will be something if we manage it. Hoban, Benson, Doyle and Kelly would be starters right now if fit. Hoban alone would have made the difference last Friday night.

For those who haven't picked it up elsewhere, Sligo have been charged by the FAI over fielding Adam McDonnell against us last week when he was suspended. A 6 point swing would be huge in terms of guaranteeing 4th or better.

Not sure how this has worked out, but with 6 games left, we have 4 at home, away to FH and last day Derry are the two away, if push comes to shove home form should see us fall over the line for 3rd, as long as we beat Pats at home.

But christ lads, form has got to pick up.

Injuries have been a part ,but every team gets injuries. Michael Duffy and Jack Byrne a lot of football this season have missed this season.
Changing the system to a high line in the last month hasn't worked, and shown up the lack of pace in the defence. Sending out Mayowa to Dungannon a strange call, when options were limited at the back.

Pats have no game until the 30th of September. They have been on a excellent run, but maybe would have liked a game sooner to keep the momentum up.

I can see why he would ask. I've just logged in to LOITV to buy the game, none of the quarterfinals are listed.

I don't usually look until late on Friday for an away game, given the Wex game was live, I see no reason it won't be.

I'd be more worried about the dreadful starting stream quality, seems every game they have shown recently has seen the match jammed or unavailable for periods in the first 15-20 mins, yet they are quick enough to take the €7 from fans, so their IT is fine for that.

I have been looking into one of those boxes that offers everything for a fixed price, hope everything arrives tomorrow. LOITV ... do the FAI deserve our money for shit service?

The stream went off for me on one of the games. I emailed them and requested a refund and got the refund.
