I can't see any other team apart from Derry winning the cup, they have the good draw and momentum.

That said we should be making it our no 1 priority to finish 3rd, with 4 of the last 6 at home, we still have a good chance.
Of course, the chances are there, and it' quite high. I think we can safely count on six points.

Hello everyone!
Sligo's 6 games are

Shamrock Rovers(H)
UCD(A)
Dundalk(A)
Derry City(H)
St Patricks Ath(H)
Bohemians(A)

4 of those sides have something to play for. There might be 10 points there. A loss to Rovers on 1st Oct means they would have to win in Caseys Field. And that's assuming we didn't pick up any other points which - on the law of averages - has to be unlikely. We are far enough into the current slump that we should be seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

Of course this all assumes Derry win the Cup and 4th qualifies for Europe!

I think we should be careful what we wish for. On our current form we would be severely embarrassed in Europe.

Are you really suggesting we might not want to qualify to play in Europe in 10 months time cos we're playing badly now?

You would think/hope that we are already talking to and have new players signed up for next season. I'd imagine there will be plenty of changes over the winter break which will hopefully strengthen us in areas were we are struggling.

Derry would obviously be the favourites, but a one off game in a Cup final anything could happen. They should get past Treaty but Waterford or Shels could spring a surprise.
Damien Duff has been talking alot about winning the Cup as manager would top anything as a player.

Wigan won the Fa Cup a few years ago against the odds

With respect WW, the absolute aim has to be to qualify for europe, I won't bore people again with my coefficient ranking advantage, but its a great chance to earn 500k min.

Plus we can be damn sure if we qualify, 3-5 better players will be joining.

What is it with goalkeepers training with the national sides? Now the Sligo keeper - Luke McNicholas - is out for the rest of the season after being injured with the u21s.

Well, I suppose on reflection I should have assumed that there would be a considerable number of new signings. Certainly the current side seems to have hit the buffers.

Has anyone received the supporters consultation form and know what sort of questions have been asked on it?

Plenty of questions on it but to sum it up looking for feedback on match night experience, stadium, programme, website, social media etc.
