They were granted a 1st Division licence. You don't need 2 stands for a licence.Richie87 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 5:21 pm Kerry have a nice little ground. https://www.facebook.com/MounthawkPark/
There was a structural issue with one of the stands at Treaty United, they would be doing well to get a licence.

Yeah I misread that they were granted a license. Still poor that they had problems with their ground and that the FAI staged a play off game there.

Re: 2022 Season General Thread
The term "fit for purpose" is what gets chucked around in these situations but it depends on your definition of "purpose". AFTER the section of seating had collapsed you could clearly see fans all standing on the seats of the next block over. This action - and repeated jumping up and down - puts excessive loading on individual points in the framework instead being spread across the platform. In the Shed - and the away terrace in OP - individual seats failed and (if I'm not mistaken) the steel onto which the seats were bolted started to buckle in one our cup finals. Even when you fix seating in concrete, something always gives.
Structural engineers gave the stand the all clear but on a set of standard criteria. The only way change will happen is that insurers will refuse to provide cover for football matches.

Wasn't that Usher the "dublin businessman" who wanted to buy us from Peak 6?

Yeah there was some links. I don't think he was buying directly off Peak6,more of a joint ownership.
It will be another wealthy owner in the League. Cork would have good potential, with a good ground in place.

Re: 2022 Season General Thread
Can anyone tell me what way it works with the season tickets? First time getting one in a few seasons. I've ordered and paid online and got an email with an electronic version. Do I just call up to Oriel to get the physical card or wait for an email/call?

Re: 2022 Season General Thread
Yes I think so CR, this is how I got mine (I have 2) most seasons, last year I bought after xmas, kept the email as proof then called up week before season and picked up.
For any that bought pre xmas, I'm sure they are ready for collection if you want, but no harm calling the office before you do travel up.
