Not to labour the point but here again is this government scheme which the board should be looking at. I wonder if the 1903 supporters club could raise this with the board??

Finn Harps released a short video on their new stadium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93H2cjUJ3mQ

Their design was based on Salford City's ground, compact with option to extend in the future,

I see the EU are looking to close the golden visa schemes across Europe (and rightly so)
I would think that puts the funding for Louth GAA in doubt as the money was pledged, not banked.

I saw it mentioned that 94 % of those getting the golden visa in Ireland were Chinese business people, with links to Tax evasion and money laundering coming as a concern

Was told last week a huge source of income for Dublin Councils is rates from Dublin Airport, an abs goldmine, Fingal actually hence they can raise monies like this, SDCC prob have a lot of big shopping centres etc for rates too.

LCC from what I can see are broke, two big towns takes a lot to fund, so even taking away the politics, they are potless, so that avenue closed on two fronts.

There’s no problem here at all , we just keep playing our Euro matches in Talla & watch the home matches on LOI.

Interesting article in the Derry Journal. The short version is that the council own the ground, but Ruardhi Higgins and owner Philip O'Doherty want the pitch returned to grass.

I read on the Derry forum, some fans would like Derry to move to a different location and build their own stadium. The housing around the stadium means they can only do so much with development ,and has limited parking.

Fantastic progressive club. Hope it all works out for them as it would be great to have more facilities like this in the league.

We are lightyears behind clubs now aside from Drogheda

With Cork going up we are back to the 2nd worst ground in the PD, with many miles better in the FD. Not even sure there is any momentum these days to even look at improvements?

We don't appear to be going anywhere in this regard.

I assume the recent survey was with a view to the club comin back with some sort of plan. Assume is to make and ass of u and me but I'd be hopeful that it is the case. It's been the burning issue for decades and fans are fatigued with the whole debate around it at this stage. I hope it's the beginning of something concrete. We should definitely get in the ear of local politicians and put in on their agenda. All shoulders to the wheel think it's something that will need to be demanded, cant see Louth Counsel coming with a plan and a crock of gold

Great to see Sligo moving in the right direction. Somehow feel Bohs, Shelbourne and Sligo will have new facilities before Dundalk come even close to doing something major with Oriel. Wonder would the club owners consider going into partnership with the Grammar School and maybe building with them on their new site ... also upgrading their plans to offer us something at Cat. 3.

The open seating stand Sligo have behind the Railway end of their goal was mostly funded from Euro monies earned in 2013 season after they won the league in 2012.

We paid off LCC planning, installed 2 pitches, kitted out YDC, of course its a wonderful facility with Gym and dressing rooms, canteen for players and an asset to the club, but none of this is what fans see. On a wet night both sides of the stand are standing in the rain, and virtually nothing else done for spectator comfort. Most of the Euro money now gone, so what did it fund, probably league titles in 18 and 19.

Just a shame even a small build never happened, could easily have roofed both sides of the stand in L shape, or built that semi-perm seating Pats have behind the Inchicore goals end at our town end, none of this would have taken massive amounts of money either.

The excuse was always a mix of don't have full ownernship, but is that only the actual pitch (which they did spend 000's on), and planning for Cat 3, 4 etc, look get it up to PD LOI standard first, which its not !
