Wardy as good as ever. Pity he isn't five yrs younger.

From what I could hear the lads were calling the trialist ‘Cam’.

Dec Devine was in attendance tonight. Poor game in fairness , but it’s all about minutes in legs at the point.

Finn Harps had 3 trialists starting and 7 in the subs. There wasn't going to be much flow anyway.

Connor Malley done well I thought dropping in between the lines tidy on it and not afraid to take people on, he stood out imo. Hayden Muller looked ok too but very difficult to judge a lad on 50/60 min of a friendly. Decent crowd at it must’ve been over 1000

Yeah very impressive crowd for a friendly. Muller would get my best of the new guys award. Thought he looked very assured. Definitely looked like more of a centre back than a full back though. Mr Trialist did well too. I'd sign him up if it's as backup.

All new players and the trialist looked sharp. Louie played the 2nd half and was very vocal, seems confident.
Mountney was sitting in the stand with a left leg brace. Surely he wouldn’t be doing that if it was a ruptured knee ligament??

The no 12 (CF) was listed as Eoin Kenny. I'm guessing that's Stephen's lad. Tall and skinny but looks like he could be awkward to play against with the right coaching and a bit of bulking up.

I was impressed with Paul Doyle. He was at the centre of everything in midfield, winning the ball and getting us going. Realised just how much we missed him in the run in last year. Brian Gartland's retirement means the #3 jersey will have a new owner and it would appear that's its allocation to Hayden Mullen hasn't gone down well with Sheps. Time and again he came racing off his line, taking on the role of libero and sending blood racing to parts of the body succumbing to the frost.

I seen Sam Caiger named as the trialist. It looks like him alright from a Google search.

He was with West Ham and released two years ago at 18. Playing non league since then with a team called Ware.

Great find! Interestingly enough he was released from West Ham the same time Alfie Lewis was

Seems to have been excellent attendance for the game last night. Just shows how much of an appetite there is now for the club (and the league). Ten years ago that friendly would have had barely 100 at it.

Wasnt at it because I'm not in the country. Heard reports though that Oriel wasn't in great shape. Maybe the 1903 supporters group, the SSA or even the Club (maybe offer a free matchday ticket) could organise day of repair/reorganising/ tidying up before the season starts.
