I'd begin to worry about discipline. Two games in a row where we had a man sent off.

I would be more concerned if we were pulling out of tackles. The biggest concern is the lack of depth and quality in the squad. Cpl of injuries and we are struggling. Then again the clowns in the shed costing us money each and every week in fines. We could have another player or two on board. But hey once they create their atmosphere.

I watched the game on LOI TV and couldn't see the first five minutes because of the atmosphere. Better than breathing in the fumes, i suppose.
How much did those morons cost us last night, I wonder?

Do we pay for RVs flares too as the home team or are they fined for it?

End of day the club don't seem to care. They appear only interested in stopping unsupervised juveniles (easy target) than addressing the flares head in. Very simple method. Have somebody with a video camera standing in front of the shed and away end. Record it and eject those responsible. But as I say easy for the club to come out with a zero tolerance statement, but they seem unwilling to enforce it. Yes they create an atmosphere but the fines every single week are hindering our budget. Plus they are extremely dangerous in the hands of pissed up cretins

As always when we lose, the criticism is over the top. We have problems for sure, such as we are struggling to defend crosses and set pieces at one end and struggling to put quality ones in at the other. Losing Hoban was massive, we can't cope with that unfortunately. However up to the sending off I thought we were doing well, we knock the ball around well even if we cough up possession at times, I'd prefer to see us play this way

Just seen the replay of Benson's tackle there. Terrible decision and never a red. If we can't successfully appeal then the appeal process is rigged.

My seat in middle top of stand, had clear view, on first glance it looked a red to me, on second defo a yellow. What I will say though is, even though Robbie did get the ball first there was no need for him to be so high and to lead like that, its giving ref something extra to think about.

I don't think there will be grounds for appeal, that's usually mistaken identity or maybe ref thinking a player already had a yellow, I just can't see it.

Overall a very disappointing night, we were clear second best all night, yes a great chance by Martin first half, but that was about it, they ran the show for most of it in MF before the sending off. With no Hoban we were clearly handicapped even before a ball was kicked, and no one up top to keep it, pull 2 of their defenders aside, make space, then play the ball wide, he may not be scoring but there are few better at that what he does, just shows how reliant we are on him. Good news seems he will be back in a few weeks.

Maybe though last night was a leveler, did we just about deserve a point in Derry, prob just about mainly for the defending, not sure we deserved all 3 in Drogs, so these were probably bonus points in a way.

Last night was tough to watch and take, but good chance to move on with another home game v Sligo, then Cork away on Mon week who are in very poor form. We need to stick with the top 4 all season, that has to be the target.

That was my whole point Niall. We all have varying opinions on how we played etc. but the red card and three of the goals were very much avoidable. We've played worse a few times this season and picked up points.

Poor positioning from Wasiri Williams for a couple of the goals. The 3rd in particular where Johnny Kenny had a free header, ball watching. He is good on the ball but needs to focus.

I wouldn’t trust anything run or set up by the FAI.
This appeals panel is just for show and for them to pocket €550 . The bar for rescinding a red card and go against their own refs will be ridiculously high.

Fines for flares and for this now will make the FAI thousands. The prize money for winning the league will stay as low as it is.
Honestly, I despise them for their attitude to the LOI and it’s why I don’t follow or care about the national team . Rant over .

In fairness the FAI are picking up the pieces from the Delaney regime. 63m In debt. Mark Scanlon spoke about wanting to increase the Prize money but they don't have the funds at present. If Uk and Ireland gets Euro 28 that would obviously help.

The national team getting to Euro 24 would help too.

Richie if they don’t have a pot to piss in , why are they bidding for Euro 28? It’s a fcuking farce, looking for other codes’ facilities to host games and LOI clubs playing in shitholes. Maybe they should spend what money they have on improving referee standards

Sooner Annesley gets back the better. Must have been hit really bad by that illness and perhaps still needs to get back to speed even if he has recovered from it, but he was starting to settle pretty well beforehand.

SOD doesn’t seem to know his best back 4, so it’ll be interesting to see where he slots in. A clean sheet against Sligo would be nice

I'm not at all surprised the appeal was rejected. I don't think Dundalk would even argue that it wasn't a foul and a card. It's not enough of a glaring error that they're going to overturn it. I mean it's not a red for me, but seems an incredible waste of time and money to appeal.
Thought there was nothing between the teams at 11 a side, but the defending for the first 3 goals was shocking. Annesley- Boyle looks our best option in the centre. Rovers aren't flying yet but they'll be in conrention, the squad is ridiculous. We should compete for Europe again, I would hope, given the lack of quality in the rest of the league
